Hello there! My name is Tanyel and I am an undergraduate student at King's College London. I study BA French and Management and will be entering my second year in September.

Teaching Experience:
I have a wide range of tutoring experience. This originated from when I was in Sixth Form and developed a knack for explaining things to my classmates and friends. Since then, my enjoyment in tutoring has led me to be involved in two tutoring projects. We would work through a main textbook (CGP range seems to work best) and I provide explanations in a clearer, more interactive manner to clarify understanding. As a teacher of foreign languages I very much favour the communicative approach but I am also more than willing to teach grammar as this also plays an important role in language learning. I currently teach in a secondary school in Oxford and have been there for the past three years. Prior to this for three and a half years I tutored students, up to and including, GCSE level - foundation and higher tier - in another secondary school.
Being a teacher gives me an insight and experience of what students go through every day - attempting problems and convincing themselves they cannot answer any of it. Dealing with different ages and abilities I understand that not one student is the same so I have a range of methods to answer specific questions; for example I have three separate ways to answer a multiplication question.
