I am an experienced and skilled Tutor of French, Russian and English as a foreign language. I have been tutoring continuously on a part time basis for 12 years, typically working with 5 or 6 students at any one time. I have spent several years living and working abroad, so this has given me quite an international outlook. At the same time, I am quite well-travelled within the UK and have a good understanding of English history, culture and customs. As a native speaker of English, I have an excellent grasp of the English language, particularly in terms of grammar, spelling and pronunciation.

It is the application of an integrating approach for the development of communicative skills in the lesson, in which the four skills in the acquisition of knowledge of a foreign language can be taught in a coherent way, and practiced together, with a distinction of the importance of one upon the other. One image for teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL) is that of a tapestry. The tapestry is woven from many strands, such as the characteristics of the teacher, the learner, the setting, and the relevant languages (i.e., English and the native languages of the learners and the teacher). For the instructional loom to produce a large, strong, beautiful, colorful tapestry, all of these strands must be interwoven in positive ways. For example, the instructor's teaching style must address the learning style of the learner, the learner must be motivated, and the setting must provide resources and values that strongly support the teaching of the language. I am an experienced Law Lecturer with 10 years' experience in teaching undergraduate and post-graduate law programs in leading UK Law departments. I have a PhD in law, with a specialism in International Financial Law, and hold a Masters degree (Distinction) from University College London (UCL).

Teaching Experience:
I have taught English Legal Systems, UK Public Law/Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract and Criminal Law since 2014. I have also practiced law for over 6 years, with a strong background in constitutional and human rights litigation, and also corporate and commercial law.

Tutoring Approach:
I have tutored students from different top universities across the country, through face-to-face and skype sessions.

My approach entails identifying the student's learning priorities, and also certain learning areas that the tutoring session can strengthen. I use the student's syllabus structure and material to guide the learning session for each specific module.

I have found skype sessions as very productive for both the students and I, as we save on travel time, and have the benefit of a lot of material that we would otherwise be unable to drag around to a neutral meeting place. I find that the students are also more comfortable and in control of their learning, where they are in a familiar environment.

I am an experienced software engineer in financial industry focusing on building low latency trading and risk applications. I have experience in programming in Java and Python and can well-versed in multiple programming languages like c++ and R. I also have experience in using RDBMS/SQL and nosql.

I am also capable in system design and architecture. I can share my best practice in building complicated applications and this can help on tackling coding assignments and final year projects. Also for data science programming in python and handling large volume of data becomes crucial and I am able to provide fruitful advices

I am a practicing nature inspired artist and illustrator and my art is in private collections around the World. I also have licensing representation and my artwork can be found on various items including greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles.

Teaching Experience:
I have been a tutor for adult education for over 15 years working for various organisations, as well as independently as a practicing teaching artist. I have an abundance of knowledge to share and can help students to realise their creative potential. I have experience of teaching groups of students as well as 1:1. I currently run online and in person workshops exploring painting practice.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a very down to earth approach and am patient and encouraging. I have helped many students start from scratch and develop their drawing and painting skills over time. I have always been someone that likes to help people, and this is the major motivator when it comes to teaching. The 1 to 1 dynamic of tutoring provides a great opportunity for real connection with the student, which then facilitates much better progress through mutual understanding and communication. I`ve found the more casual approach you get from teaching one student in their own home gives them so much more confidence and security than they have at school which makes it so much easier to understand their problems and work through things together.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience teaching Maths and Science in several schools in Derbyshire and south Yorkshire, and have been tutoring privately for the last two years. I attained a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nottingham and A*A*AA is Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Further Maths at A-level.

I have a broad range of experience tutoring in different settings and scenarios: online and in-person, KS3, GCSE and A-Level, Foundation and Higher Tiers, relaxed weekly or Bi-weekly sessions, intensive exam prep and even teaching in a home-school environment.

Tutoring Approach:
I opt for a more relaxed approach as I find student comfortability to be the most important factor for learning. Sessions are very interactive with the idea of helping the student understand where they are going wrong and what gaps they have. I am very analytical behind the scenes, building a bespoke portfolio that will inform the direction of future sessions.

I think students find the casual conversational learning to be a breath of fresh air. Many feel cramped and uncomfortable in a classroom so being able to just discuss things freely with no fear of judgement is a huge help. In my experience students always undersell themselves, so I make a point out of showing them how much they already know, which helps them feel more confident from the offset
