As well as that I have a lot of experience in industry and working around the world. I am a PhD mathematician, with a special interest in applied mathematics and statistics. I worked for some years in University departments as a tutor and then lecturer. More recently I have worked for almost two decades in industry as a mathematician at a prestigious research centre in Cambridge. Pedagogical activity since the age of 18, both in music schools and private classes at home, online.

Tutoring Approach:
I try to always listen to the wishes of the student, carefully approach the issue of psychological attitude, so that the student does not have complexes and any barriers to successful learning.

I give lessons with both children and adults.
For each student I find an individual approach.

I use various teaching methods, both traditional and new.

Assistance in the implementation of homework.

The main priority is to make the classes enjoyable and interesting to the student.

Personal Description:
Native Italian speaker born in Switzerland who graduated in 2016 from the University of Geneva, Faculty of Translation & Interpreting, with a BA in Multilingual Communication. I have now changed my career path but still translate and tutor part-time.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored from high school to university. I had tutees of all ages.

Tutoring Approach:
Besides theory, I will equally focus on practice to instill confidence in the tutees. I will also provide cultural information that complements and supports the learning experience. I will also consider the tutees' suggestions as choosing to learn a foreign language often results from curiosity.

Personal Description:
I am a native German speaker and I am passionate about teaching and I love people. I have a PhD in protein chemistry.

Teaching Experience:
I am teaching since 2012 and I have taught 31 private students so far. I have taught 17 Science GCSE and A-level classes in schools and Colleges. I also have taught 23 German, French and Italian evening classes.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is student and needs centred.
My language lessons can focus on speaking and listening, essential grammar and writing sentences and essays.
In science lessons all weaknesses can be discussed, school homework and exam paper questions.
A typical lesson with me is one hour per week with one additional hour of homework for the following lesson, however this is entirely up to the student.
