For online lessons, we can use Zoom or Skype. I use HSK textbooks (level 1-6) to custom make each lesson based on my students' needs. I will also prepare homework for every lesson (if preferred) and give my students feedback on their homework. This depends on whether the student needs support with the practical (coursework) side or the theory. With the theory, I often look through past papers with the student to establish common questions and work to get the most succinct and correct answer. With practical problems I would often set a smaller, simpler challenge related to the problem which can help the student understand, and then apply to their own coursework. I aim to make the students complete the challenges themselves as much as possible - it is not my intention to create solutions for coursework/assignments for students to use as their own. All work is done as a collaboration between myself and the student.

Personal Description:
Hello everybody. My name is Vincenzo. I am 50 years old and I live in Leeds, in the North of England. My interests include reading, cycling, swimming and of course languages and meeting new people!

I am passionate about languages and foreign cultures and I look forward to helping you enjoy your studies and achieve your goals.

Teaching Experience:
I am a native Italian with teaching experience, at different levels, both in Italy and the UK.

After a couple of years teaching English in Italian secondary schools, I moved to the UK and since then I have worked mainly as an Italian lecturer in various colleges in West Yorkshire.

I did all my studies in Italy and I also qualified there as language teacher as well as special educational needs teacher and, when in the UK, had all my qualifications converted from the General Teaching Council for England. In fact, I was awarded the QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in November 2004.

Tutoring Approach:
Since I have been in the UK, I have continued to keep up to date with new teaching innovations and methodologies in language teaching.

I am familiar with the use of IT and online teaching and I strongly believe in its effectiveness in languages.

I believe myself to have a professional and friendly attitude to teaching and convey this well to the students that I teach.

My dedication to language teaching is, and has always been, without doubt one of the driving forces of my career. I find the challenges of cultural exchanges stimulating and pleasurable.

My teaching approach is very much on encouraging you to use your language skills in life conversation. I believe that focusing on verbal communication skills quickly builds your confidence and your enjoyment of the new language.

Lessons can be structured to support a home study programme or I can develop an individual learning programme tailored on your own personal needs.

Personal Description:
Communication, cooperation and commitment are my key values. I know the importance of being assertive and helpful while providing French and Spanish tuition.
Empathy and a cheerful personality are my bridges to treating language learners with respect. It allows me to have a positive impact on them and see situations from different angles.

Teaching Experience:
During my teaching experience, I have learned how to establish and maintain constructive relationships during lessons, school hours, regular meetings and parents' evenings.
My past experience as a French language assistant and supply teacher allows me to quickly adapt to changes of pace while providing differentiated support. I am therefore used to constantly keeping review and updating records of learners' attendance and attitude. Therefore, a continual assessment of students' learning allows me to set them appropriate targets. So in parallel to the lessons I teach, I monitor their achievement to give them constant appropriate feedback.

Tutoring Approach:
Keeping a high quality of work is one of my other assets. To do so, I make sure I constantly review my lesson planning and assessment processes. I make constant use of my creativity, and provide solutions when improvements are required prior to or during the lessons taught. I am always searching to undergo further training to add value to the lessons I teach.
