My language learning journey started in the same way it does for most of us - at secondary school. I fell in love with the French language at an early age and went on to complete an honours degree in French Studies at the University of Birmingham. During my year abroad, I lived and studied in Montréal, where I took classes in French, Italian and Spanish at McGill University and also fell in love with the Spanish language and culture.

I am passionate languages and helping learners build their confidence and reach their language learning goals, whether it be for school, exam preparation, work or pleasure, and I aim to do so in a purposeful and structured yet fun way.

I firmly believe that anyone can learn a language and make progress, whatever their starting point might be.

Teaching Experience:
I have over ten years` cumulative experience of teaching in secondary schools and I have taught French, Spanish, English Language and English Literature. As well as my work in schools, I have been working as a private tutor since 2012,

Over the past 20 years, I have also taught on many English as a foreign language courses to young learners in summer schools and also to adults for general and business purposes in Wiltshire and in North London. With my tuition, students have gained entrance to the schools of Aldenham, Fulham Prep, Harrogate Ladies, Sedbergh, Charterhouse and Latymer. After my tuition, candidates attained the necessary grades for their university offers, including from Oxbridge, to study courses relevant to our preparation. I also have experience aiding with IB and professional skills tests together with Pre-U and IGCSE.
I am happy to offer tuition for all other syllabuses as well, for example WJEC and for free-standing maths qualifications.
I also offer tuition to adults wanting to improve their own maths understanding and skills, for example to help with their career or to pass graduate skills tests such as Kenexa, SHL and numeracy for QTS etc.
I have helped several students with Asperger Syndrome, those with dyslexia and students who are home schooled, have conditions including severe physical handicaps, speech and language difficulties or have had to change school due to behavioural difficulties. Furthermore, I have been trained for and have taught looked after children and also have experience of helping those for whom English is an additional language.

I have taught at 4 different schools over the last 22 years. I have taught coeducational, girls and boys all in different schools. I have also taught large numbers of students online over the last 4 years and have vast experience in remote learning through Skype and Zoom.

Tutoring Approach:
I taylors the lessons for what students want; whether you need confidence in exam technique and how to approach the questions at GCSE or A Level or consolidate theory. I can reteach topics to build knowledge and understanding and then always reinforce this with exam questions which I mark and feedback to you. I can then offer lessons which are specific to your needs.

Personal Description:
My teaching style could change my student's needs. I would like to start from the simplest form and based on active learning, assessment, and metacognition. In my lessons, you could find more Socratic and metacognition methods because memorizing is not learning.

Teaching Experience:
11 years of teaching experience. Last 4-5 years, I have taught As and A level physics. Additionally, I have taught science and math before.

Tutoring Approach:
Firstly, I need to know my student and his/ her weak and strong sides in learning. After that, I would like to find the best suitable method that corresponds to my student learning style. Finally, I am ready to teach and my student is convenient to learn anything from me.
