I began teaching group lessons in school. After leaving school, I began training for the classroom, but I did not feel I could impact the individual in such a large group environment. While maintaining strong links with school curriculum, I began to pursue my career in individual instruction. My home based tuition serves approximately sixty five pupils at a time and my online lessons support many more, depending on the time zone. As Senior Teacher/ Teacher in Charge, of a Medical Pupil Referral Unit I headed up a dedicated team of skilled teachers who worked with young people on a 1:1 and small group basis. I'm a doctor currently working as a GP Registrar, having completed a Graduate Entry Medicine degree at the University of Southampton. Before starting my studies in Medicine, I completed my BSc. (Hons) Human Physiology at the University of Portsmouth in 2015. Let me briefly describe you my past experience. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and graduated from Russain State University of Foreign Languages, I have a master's degree in teaching of modern languages. I have been working first at school, then privately for more than 15 years.

I started teaching Russian at Trent College in Derbyshire as an extra-curricular activity for a group of students in year 7-8 and 9, providing all the teaching materials and authentic programme. I covered all the main parts in terms of philology and diverse the lessons with curious facts about the country, traditions and customs. At the end of one term course, students had basic skills in reading and writing, they were able to introduce themselves and speak on common themes (hobbies, cuisine, travelling etc). Teaching Experience:
I have taught Sociology and Health and Social Care since 1993 and introduced GNVQ BTEC programmes in Health and Social Care in different sixth form colleges and have led and managed Sociology departments. I have the expertise required to ensure academic success for all tutees; regardless of the exam board or level.
At have experience in delivering Sociology at GCSE Level and A Level, Psychology at A Level, and Health and Social Care, at BTEC Levels 2 and 3.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is flexible; all learners have different needs and learn in different ways. I contact my tutee beforehand, to find out as much as I can about the ways they like to learn, this enables me to plan and prepare sessions so the tutee gets the most out of the time we have together. Homework is set and thorough assessment and feedback form an integral part of the tutoring sessions.

As a highly skilled and experienced teacher in Sociology and Health and Social Care, I am able to help the tutee master those tricky areas that may take more time to get to grips with. These areas are usually on specific topic areas or skills that relate to how to answer exam questions. These skills are vital for exam success. Also a qualified and experienced life coach, I often combine coaching and NLP strategies within the context of academic support; to ensure that motivation never wavers and exam stress, panic and anxiety is dramatically reduced.

I have at least 8 years experience teaching mathematics. I love maths and do my best to help my students engage with the subject through multiple approaches. I use tests to effectively identify gaps in knowledge and work hard to ensure my students can remember core skills through short starters.

Personal Description:
I have worked as a teacher in the UK for 22 years with a range of age groups. Before teaching I was a Registered General Nurse and worked in hospitals both in Birmingham and Worcester.

Teaching Experience:
I have 22yrs experience in English primary schools teaching from Reception to Year Four. I have worked with children with a variety of special needs and have acted as Senco for 3 years.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to make my lessons fun and interesting. I am able to use a child's interests to engage them in their learning and provided regular encouragement and feedback to motivate each child to progress and achieve their potential.

When working with adult learners I seek to build a mutual respect and friendship whilst structuring the lesson to meet their individual needs and interest.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Meg and I'm currently a student at York St John University studying English Language, Linguistics and TESOL in my second year. I'm 20 years old and have a love for languages and I'm in the process of self studying Korean and Japanese!

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored a number of my close friends in Korean as I've been learning via self study for close to 7 years and I have always had great feedback from them. But, I would love to expand my experience to of teaching to English to people, as I love sharing my own language with people. I'm currently studying TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at university and am eager to put my studies into practise.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a calm and relaxed approach to tutoring, I love teaching younger people as it's so refreshing to see younger people learning and understanding new things. I believe myself to be very encouraging and motivational when it comes to tutoring.
