Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. I have had great results tutoring children extensively on a 1-2-1 basis for SATS and the 11+ entrance exam, plus have experience teaching adult literacy and English as a Foreign Language. I aim to motivate both children and adults who find reading and writing challenging, building both confidence and skills. It is important that the principles are understand because all else flows from this. I am originally from Turkey and I came to England to pursue my dream as an SEN specialist. I studied MA Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.

During my BA studies, I tutored more than 20 primary school students on a regular basis.

That's something that I realised during my education and work experience- I was enjoying and working the best if I was working 1-1 basis. Between 2015-2018 I worked as a Special Needs Specialist (1-1 support) across several schools. I worked with more than 150 students who have ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, down syndrome, multiple and profound learning disabilities, visual and hearing impairments. I worked with students from age 2 to 30. In the mean time, I topped up my knowledge studying 2 years foundation degree in Child Development to have more of a professional perspective on early years/Foundation stage.

In 2018, I moved to England to start my MA studies in Special Needs and carried on teaching 1-1 ever since I graduated in 2020.

I worked with several children/teenagers/young adults across Manchester within different settings. I got trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis/ABA and tutored in this area offering behavioural support alongside the academic support I have been offering.

I got regular students in Manchester , offering home schooling, pastoral and behavioural support on a regular basis. I have also offered short term interventions , behavioural/emotional support to students who have different needs during this period.

Hello, I'm Ibrahim, a Dentistry student at the University of Birmingham with a passion for helping students succeed in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I studied at Reading School, one of the UK's top grammar schools, and achieved A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level. Having gone through these exams myself, I know what it takes to achieve top grades and can guide students to reach their full potential.

Having been a tutee for many years, with a variety of different tutors, I can recognise what separates a good tutor from a great tutor - whether it's lesson pacing, subject expertise, student-tutor relationships, and more. Despite being in my first year of uni, I already have 2 years of experience working in a customer facing role at Waitrose, which has undoubtedly provided me with a plethora of transferable skills that I can apply with my students.

Teaching Experience:
I offer tuition in A-level and GCSE Biology and Chemistry, as well as GCSE Maths, with experience across OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

Previously, I have mentored Year 7 pupils in Maths, adapting explanations to different abilities while building confidence in the topic at hand. I have also tutored a family member, helping her go from a Grade 4 to 8 in Maths, and 5 to 8 in Biology and Chemistry in only 6 months!
