After working as an Engineer I changed career in my late 20s and moved into the world of Therapy and Healing. I trained in hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy as well as Human Design. English is essentially a skills based subject. Although there is a lot of content to learn at both GCSE and A level, students benefit from being able to access and flexibly use the techniques needed to study and criticize. Tuition is available in English Language and Literature for all secondary years, including GCSE resits. I can also tutor pupils preparing for the 11+, and scholarship entry in Year 7 or Year 9. I am an experienced teacher and lecturer with over 25 years of experience teaching computer science, data science, and mathematics across schools and multiple UK universities.

I hold a PhD in Computer Science and have supported students at GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate level, including learners with SEN and diverse learning needs. My teaching style is patient, structured, and encouraging, with a strong focus on building confidence and understanding.

I break complex topics into clear, manageable steps and adapt my approach to suit each student's learning style. I am passionate about helping students develop problem-solving skills, independence, and a genuine interest in technology and data.
