I have taught through all the age ranges starting off as a Internationally Qualified Montessori Teacher, working right through to University level as an accelerated learning practitioner (I trained with Tony Buzan). My core specialism is Dyslexia and Special Needs. I have worked with home schooled children for many years as well as continuing to do regular home tutoring after school hours and some Saturday mornings. I still run Montessori workshops particularly for those involved in homehomeschooling. I was a volunteer teacher when I was an undergraduate student in China. It was in a countryside school of Hunan province. I went there with my schoolmates in a summer holiday. I have been a Manager and English Lecturer in Adult Education for over 20 years, and taught English Language, Literature and Drama in secondary schools before that. I have full Qualified Teacher Status, certified by the Department for Education (UK).

Qualifications: BA (Hons) English Literature from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne; Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Teaching Qualification) from the University of Durham.

I am also a freelance writer and have had comedy material produced on BBC Television & Radio.

Teaching Experience:
I have been a teacher for over 30 years, helping thousands of learners throughout my career, in both secondary schools and in the Coventry Adult Education Service. Most recently, I have been providing Private Tuition online and in clients' homes.
