I have worked as a translator and now hold the position of Lead Teacher of Spanish with French at a secondary School. I also hold a qualification in Italian which together with my teaching experience in the country provide me with a deep Knowledge of the language.

I have always been passionate about languages and I strongly believe I can transmit this to my pupils.

I, as a teacher, try to be as aware as possible of this factor and strive to use that for the good of the group. Pairing a strong student with someone not as strong usually helps. Another important issue that I try to be as aware as possible is preventing the strong students from taking over the exercises and leaving behind other students that, because of either lack of confidence or not being at the same level, stop themselves from actively participating in class. I'm an experienced primary educator with over 30 years experience. I will work alongside your child and support them in their learning. Each child is an individual, so there is no 'one size fits all' that matches every child's needs. I will ensure your child has an individualised learning programme that supports his/ her requirements.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching since 1987. I have experience from EYFS through to Year 6 teaching the Primary Curriculum. I have experience of coordinating various subjects in schools, from Design Technology to being Special Education Needs coordinator. I currently teach KS2 children with Grammar, Spelling, Spanish and Music.

Tutoring Approach:
Each child is an individual and so my approach to teaching and tutoring is to reflect this. I have tutored a KS3 pupil in Conversational Spanish as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award (developing a new skill), as well as a KS2 pupil in Spanish, English and Maths. I have experience of tutoring very young children (EYFS/ Reception) to help support and develop their confidence

Personal Description:
Hello! I'm Hannah. I am a languages student studying Spanish and Modern Standard Arabic and I have a passion for my subject. I love to travel and am currently living abroad in Barcelona. I understand how it feels to learn a new language and want to help make the process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for you!

Teaching Experience:
I have spent time volunteering in Tanzania, Africa, where I taught English in schools to young children. I have also been a Spanish teacher in England in a both a secondary school and primary school.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to create a personalised and engaging environment for my students. Having experience as a language teacher, I know how to incorporate the specific interests of my students into the lesson to keep it engaging. I am also a clear speaker and understand the importance of explaining new concepts simply and plainly. All my lessons can be adapted to your interests and needs.
