Personal Description:
I am a native speaker of Spanish with many years of experience in teaching the language to children, young people in their GCSE and A Level courses (I am an Examiner and Specialist for AQA and Edexel), and adults who want to learn Spanish for business or holidays. I have a very interactive and friendly approach to teaching. The structure of the courses is very clear from the beginning but, ultimately, the content and the pace of the lessons is always determined by the students. The emphasis is on having good fun while learning, and a lot of the material used in the lessons is original. As a native speaker, I always make sure that the learning experience also includes cultural aspects of the country. I am absolutely sure that you will enjoy the courses.

Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified teacher of Spanish and a native speaker of the language. For the last 23 years, I have taught Spanish at different Secondary schools in Kent. I have also taught the language privately to adults wanting to learn or improve their command of the language for business or holiday purposes, and also to young people wanting to improve their chances of a good GCSE or A Level grade in Spanish. I am an examiner for AQA and I have taught Spanish GCSE and A Level courses for Edexel and AQA for many years. So, I am very familiar with the course contents.

Tutoring Approach:
The lessons that I teach are always interactive and practical. Students dictate both the content and the pace of the lessons and the aim is always to make the learning experience enjoyable. For example, if you are an adult wanting to improve your Spanish for holidays, we would reproduce in the lessons the situations that you would normally find yourself in while on holiday in Spain or any other Spanish-speaking country: greeting people, ordering food and drink, finding your way around, buying things, travelling around, asking for help, socialising, etc... As a native speaker, I always make sure that the learning experience also includes cultural aspects of the country.

I am a certified DELE examiner accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, and I have extensive experience preparing students for official Spanish exams such as DELE and SIELE (levels A1-C2).

I specialize in helping students improve their confidence and fluency through practical and personalized lessons adapted to their goals-whether for exams, travel, work, or personal interest.

Specializations:

1. Spanish Conversation

I lived in the UK for seven years, where I taught:

- Spanish as a first language to Spanish students living abroad who needed to maintain and improve their mother tongue.
- Spanish as a second language to international students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

This experience helped me understand different learning styles and adapt my teaching methods to each student.

Currently, I teach Spanish online to:

- School-age students

- Adults learning Spanish for travel or professional purposes

- Students preparing for official exams (DELE, SIELE, GCSE, and A-Level)

In my lessons, we not only learn the language but also explore Spanish culture through real-life situations such as traveling, food, daily communication, and practical conversation.

I use a communicative and dynamic approach that combines:

- Conversation practice

- Practical grammar

- Listening activities (videos, podcasts, songs)

I do not follow a single textbook. Instead, I use a wide range of materials (if needed) that I have developed throughout my teaching career.

I prepare structured lessons to help students:

- Reach a specific CEFR level

- Improve fluency and confidence

- Prepare for official exams

- Learn Spanish for travel or everyday communication

I offer both:

- Long-term courses (steady progress at your own pace)

- Intensive courses (fast preparation for exams or specific goals)

- All students receive personalized materials and feedback after each lesson.

I work with shared online documents where students can:

- Access lesson materials

- Complete activities

- Write notes

- Ask questions between lessons

This allows continuous learning and progress tracking.

Book a trial lesson and start speaking Spanish from day one!

Trial Lesson

During the trial lesson, I will:

- Evaluate your current Spanish level

- Practice conversation adapted to your level

- Identify your strengths and areas to improve

- Recommend a personalized study plan based on your goals

This will help you clearly understand how we can improve your Spanish step by step.

Personal Description:
I am a 31-year old freelance journalist, born and raised in Germany. I have two Master's degrees, one in politics and one in digital journalism. Because of working in media & communications I am used to reviewing written text and highly aware of people's way of expressing themselves. I have a huge passion for languages and have learned Spanish for over 10 years now, including extensive stays in Spain, and I am perfectly fluent in English.

Teaching Experience:
Mostly 1 on 1 teaching and reviewing written texts over the last few years. Also, I taught a GCSE class in German at Royal Greenwich UTC for half a year. In addition, I have been teaching German at The Green Monkey School in Madrid for two years. My students have significantly improved in their skills and I prepared several people for their move to Germany.

Tutoring Approach:
I prefer a natural approach to learning languages which means engaging in everyday conversations that help the speaker get used to the way they usually talk in a new environment. I also look precisely for mistakes in any kind of written work and take much care about correct grammar and spelling as I do in my own publications.

For politics in journalism I can also edit written work and talk through complex political and social processes which I have extensively analysed during my studies.

Personal Description:
I have many years of tutoring behind me and am currently studying for the Diploma in English Teaching to Adults.

I'm widely travelled and have spent many years living abroad. This has contributed to a high degree of fluency in Spanish and French. I acquire languages easily, being open to the cultures in which I find myself.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught exclusively in continental countries. One year in Finland, six years in Spain and two in Germany. In all cases the teaching took place in private schools or in company offices. Much of the teaching was 1 to 1, the rest being in small groups.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that language acquisition takes place when the learner is relaxed and so my approach may be considered informal. The choice of materials is a joint decision. Good classes can take place with or without them.

I also favour a communicative approach, which entails giving a needs analysis to all my learners.

I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Spanish, currently working at an independent school in Dorset. I enjoy teaching languages to children and adults alike at different levels (GCSE, A level, IB and university standard) but also to casual learners who have an interest in learning and speaking a foreign language (Spanish).

Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Spanish. I have been teaching for 33 years in England and in the past 22 I have been working at a private school in Dorset, then in Exeter and I'm now back in Dorset. I teach Spanish to GCSE, A level and IB and my students have always achieved very high standards of Spanish and excellent results in their examinations. I consider myself to be efficient and reliable with a particular interest in and care for the individual pupil. Our school operates a system of one to one tutoring both pastorally and academically and I have always been very thorough and caring to my pupils. As a native speaker of Spanish I bring authenticity and expert subject knowledge to my teaching.

I have also taught Spanish in online lessons using TEAMS. It is a very rewarding experience and the pupils benefit a great deal from these virtual lessons too.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is communicative, focusing mainly on the student's ability to speak and understand the language but also making special emphasis on grammatical accuracy. I believe teaching a language on a one-to-one basis is the quickest way to develop confidence and written and oral proficiency.

My students generally tend to be relaxed and more willing to participate orally, while at the same time making good progress in their academic work.
