I am a qualified teacher and Head of Department with over 20 years of experience, in well known independent schools.

I specialise slightly more in Spanish but teach both Spanish and French to GCSE, IGCSE, A-level and Pre-U and IB. I work as an examiner for IGCSE, Pre-U and the IB, and have a good deal of experience in preparation for Oxbridge applications and Common Entrance exams. I am usually very flexible during the school holidays, but am also able to schedule lessons for evenings and weekends during term time.

I can drive to you, but have to charge some travel costs. I am equally happy to work online or have students come to my house.

I do not have any official qualifications in Italian, however my background in romance languages (Italian is a Latin-based language which, broadly speaking, I find to have a very similar vocabulary to Spanish with the grammar of French!) and my methodical nature means I would ensure that every lesson is thoroughly planned and carefully checked; I would never teach you anything I am unsure of, as this can be greatly detrimental. I am not available to help with exam preparation for Italian or to teach more advanced levels. My lack of qualifications in this subject and the fact that I am not fluent are the reasons that Italian lessons are offered at a lower rate per hour than my other subjects.

My most significant educational experience comes from teaching in an English School in Mexico, which was a rewarding experience. Hello! My name is Rochelle, and I am a fully qualified languages teacher with over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience.

I hold a PGCE in Modern Languages with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a First-Class Honours degree in French and Spanish from Queen's University Belfast. I also have a Master of Research (Distinction) in Arts and Humanities, with a focus on Spanish Studies.

I have been teaching in secondary education for over 10 years and have a deep understanding of GCSE and A-Level exam boards for Modern Languages, as well as being able to build a rapport with young people.

I love travelling, I enjoy honing my Spanish skills in Mexico, Central America, and South America. I am always up for sharing travel stories! I am also passionate about football, Chelsea are my team (controversial, I know!), and music, I love to discover new artists from around the world.

Having completed my PGCE at the University of Oxford, I worked as Head of Department at a secondary school. I have twelve years of experience in teaching French and Spanish at secondary school level, both from KS3 to A Level. I have worked in both state and private schools, and in mixed school as well as boys/girls schools.
