Ananda has tutored my son Myles for the past 2 years ahead of his IGCSE EDexcel exam in June 2023. Spanish was by far his weakest subject as school and he was struggling with motivation. He has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD. Ananda has consistently encouraged Myles, working alongside him at his pace and has given him a very thorough understanding of the language which he is now able to use with confidence. Her support has been invaluable, she has consistently been available for all the lessons and very flexible with any impromptu rescheduling. She has offered additional lessons in preparation ahead of specific exams such as the aural or listening papers. Today Myles has received a high Grade 8 in his exam, missing out on a 9 by only 1 mark. This seemed absolutely inconceivable at this point last year. Huge big thank you to Ananda - I cannot recommend her highly enough.

She personalised the lessons to my specific needs, particularly focusing on oral practice which I found the most challenging (scoring 66% in my first year). She not only improved my level of Spanish, but also increased my confidence with the language. Thanks to all her help and expertise I got a 1st in Spanish, scoring 74% in the oral exam and 75% in the written paper!

Ananda helped me to prepare for an interview for a job in Buenos Aires, after I had not spoken Spanish for about three years. She was helpful, thorough and really careful to tailor the session to my individual needs and to the job. We prepared for all kinds of questions they might ask and all areas I might need to be capable of discussing. I felt confident going into the interview and I got the job! Kind regards,
Sarah

Ananda has taken the time to find out my daughter's interests and helped Annie to learn real Spanish language.. Kind regards
Maria

Dear sir/madam,
Ananda taught my daughter Spanish for her A-levels. My daughter started her A-levels with grade D and finished it with grade A*. I think this says it all about Ananda's ability as a teacher to support her students and push them to achieve their potential.
Ananda is a very dedicated Spanish teacher to her students, explaining things in great depth and in a simple way which is easy to understand. She provides very useful resources and creates exercises which will help you improve your fluency. As well as being a great teacher, she will also endlessly support you through your journey, being a constant positive guide. Ananda is a great Spanish teacher. She is very dedicated and works so hard for her students. She helped my daughter to improve her Spanish enormously to the extend that her school teacher was referencing her as an exemplar student. Personal Description:
I am Spanish native speaker, friendly and approachable person who loves teaching and find it very rewarding. Having learnt other languages I can identify myself with the students I teach.

Teaching Experience:
I have been working and enjoying teaching Adults and children for 10 years. I am a qualified Spanish teacher from Brighton University, currently teaching Spanish in an Adult College at different levels, supporting Spanish GCSE in secondary school and teaching Spanish to young children at nurseries.

Tutoring Approach:
The teaching method I use vary according to the students needs and knowledge of the language, the main goal for students is usually to speak and communicate well with the Spanish speakers. In the lessons the four learning skills (listening, writing, reading, speaking) are implemented to develop student's confidence. Cultural aspects of Spanish speaker countries are part of learning a new language.

Personal Description:
My name is María, I am a Geography, History and Spanish teacher from Argentina. I love my profession, as I enjoy teaching very much. I moved to London in January 2011 and I have been teaching Spanish here since then.

I specialise in teaching those who do not wish to loose their Spanish, or those who require a more advanced level of teaching.

My students have told me, I transmit confidence and they don't feel inhibited to speak when in class with me. This is always good, as I believe the best way to learn is by speaking a lot! :)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Looking forward to your response!

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Geography, History and Spanish for more than 15 years, in schools and universities, as well as privately. I studied at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina. I also worked as a teacher for the Ministry of Education and the World Bank.

On the side, I have a small network of private students, whom I have been teaching for the past 6 years. I have managed to continue teaching them for so long, as they do not want to loose their Spanish, which they mainly use for business negotiations or their travels to Spain/Latin America.

Tutoring Approach:
First, I asses the student´s level and needs, so we can work together to find the appropriate learning approach. I use a wide variety of materials (course books, grammar reference books, movies, newspaper articles, songs, poems, internet articles, etc). The four skills are practised from the very first lesson, always recycling the language and putting into practice what is learnt in each lesson.

About Language Teaching
I believe that teaching is an art. Everyone has the potential to learn, regardless of mental hindrances. In my view, the role of a teacher is to understand both the limitations and strengths of each pupil and tailor a unique course accordingly.
The most essential requirement for a pupil is passion and the willingness to learn; the rest is the teacher's responsibility.
I started teaching Spanish as a means of earning a living when I first came to the UK in 1973. Ever since then, it has always been a source of income. I am a professional painter, but selling paintings is not a reliable form of income. I have excellent references from former students that I can provide on request.

I'm a translator and have studied English my entire life. I love travelling, leaving abroad and learning/teaching languages!

Teaching Experience:
I'm currently working as a Spanish Teaching Assistant in the UK. My goal is to create a comfortable and relaxed environment where students feel confident practicing their speaking skills and improving their pronunciation.

Tutoring Approach:
My classes are practical, dynamic, and relaxed. I believe the best way to learn a language is by having fun and feeling confident throughout the process. Each lesson can be fully adapted to the student's needs-whether that's preparing for a job interview, improving conversational skills, refining pronunciation, or focusing on specific areas they want to strengthen. Practice makes perfect!
