I have 7 years experience working as a Spanish teacher in secondary schools in London including Alleyn's, Lady Margaret School and Kingsdale, teaching years 7 to 13. My exam classes have a very good track record. This year, my year 11 class are predicted 58% grades 9 to 8 and 100% 9 to 6, and my A Level class 63% A*-A and 88% A*-B. I have worked with both Edexcel and AQA in this time, so I know what it takes to get the best grades, especially at GCSE. I'm a teacher that's trained in identifying problems specific to the way yours Spanish and adapt the lessons to turn those weaknesses into strengths! I take each of the skills needed in the exam, look at how the skill works, why it's important, start with simpler examples before working up to exam level examples.

Through this step by step approach, we work together to build up your confidence for not only the exam, but also for a life afterwards using Spanish more naturally day to day. I will never rush you through any of the skills and only move onto the next part of the practice. Your pace matters as I'd like you to enjoy the classes, and not just learn from them.

Hello! My name is Rochelle, and I am a fully qualified languages teacher with over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience.

I hold a PGCE in Modern Languages with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a First-Class Honours degree in French and Spanish from Queen's University Belfast. I also have a Master of Research (Distinction) in Arts and Humanities, with a focus on Spanish Studies.

I currently teach French and Spanish at a comprehensive secondary school in Oxfordshire and offer private tuition in both languages to learners of all ages and levels. I am passionate about languages, culture and helping others to feel confident in their language-learning journey.

Teaching Experience:
I have extensive experience teaching languages to students of all ages and abilities, and I have developed my own language skills through living and working abroad. I spent two years in Spain as an English Language Assistant, working with students aged 3-18, followed by a year teaching English at South Colombian University in Neiva, Colombia. I have also lived in France as an au pair.

Over the years, I have supported a wide range of learners, from complete beginners to advanced students preparing for examinations, and I am highly experienced in working with students with SEND. As a practising secondary school teacher, I have extensive experience preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations, including the new GCSE Modern Languages curriculum. I have successfully supported students following AQA, Edexcel, CCEA and Cambridge International courses, as well as learners preparing for DELF and DELE qualifications, ISEB Common Entrance, independent school entrance and scholarship examinations, and applications to highly selective universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

My approach is student-centred and tailored to the individual. I work closely with each learner to create a personalised programme that develops language skills, builds confidence and helps them achieve their goals.

All lessons are taught online, and each student receives their own personalised Drive folder for shared resources, notes, and homework. I use a wide range of digital tools to make lessons engaging and interactive.

Hello! My name is Josh and I am looking forward to connecting with you. I am a graduate of languages from the University of Leeds (graduated in 2017) and a qualified MFL teacher (graduated in 2021). I speak Spanish, Catalan, French and Italian, and I have a good range of tutoring experience in the past for GCSE, A-Level and adult learners. I have a great interest in grammar, culture, history and politics, and would love to share that even further.

Teaching Experience:
I have been a qualified teacher for over a year, having worked predominantly in the Tameside region of Manchester. I completed my training with a School Direct course led by a school that was last rated OFSTED 'Outstanding', and then continued my teaching career in that same school as maternity cover. I am going to continue my teaching career at another school in Tameside, which is part of an academy trust with a number of OFSTED 'Outstanding' schools, which puts a huge amount of focus on teacher development and training.

I value the time taken with each of my students, and ensure that their key objectives and desired outcomes are met. I tailer all of my resources based on what the tutee would like to gain from the session(s), and work in accordance with GCSE/A-Level specifications from various exam boards where necessary. I have taught both languages to A-Level since 1996 across the state and independent sectors, including 13 years as Head of Spanish at a leading selective grammar school in Buckinghamshire. During this time, students consistently achieved excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
