I have taught to all levels from reception class at primary school through to secondary school, sixth form college and university level.
I am able to offer authentic French whilst still appreciating the difficulties from an English speaker's point of view. I am also qualified to teach Spanish to all levels and have years of experience in teaching the language.

Learning a foreign language is a process that implies some mimicking, language awareness, practice on comprehension, expression and also creativity. Some studies claim that the way we store languages in our brains is similar to that of data storing in a computer, but, of course, much more human, organic and alive. I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Spanish. I have been teaching for 30 years in England and in the past 19 I have been working at a private school in Dorset. I teach Spanish to GCSE, A level and IB and our students have always achieved a very high level of Spanish and excellent results in their examinations. I consider myself to be efficient and reliable with a particular interest in and care for the individual pupil. Our school operates a system of one to one tutoring both pastorally and academically and I have always been very thorough and caring to my pupils. My approach is communicative, focusing mainly on the student's ability to speak and understand the language but also making special emphasis on grammatical accuracy. I believe teaching a language on a one-to-one basis is the quickest way to develop confidence and written and oral proficiency.

During the lockdown period my students were more relaxed than when they are in the classroom and were more willing to participate in class discussions, while at the same time making good progress in their academic work.
