I am currently a lecturer on the BSc Psychology and Language science degree at University College London and a psychology examiner for AQA. Prior to this, I was Head of Psychology at a secondary school where I taught the AQA A-level psychology specification. I also introduced and taught Sociology A-level. I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Psychology from Durham University (First Class Honours) and have since completed a Masters degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology at The University of London, Birkbeck College and a PhD in Psychology at The University of London, Goldsmiths College.

I am a female primary school teacher in the Doncaster/Wakefield area. Aside from my enthusiasm for teaching and helping children to achieve, I am interested in academic areas including sociology and languages. I enjoy travel and reading. I make presentations catered for the tutee for every lesson. I make them as interactive and engaging, as this is what allows for retention. Personal Description:
I am a qualified Secondary Psychology Teacher (QTS, 2024) with a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for helping learners grow in confidence and independence.
Alongside my school-based teaching, I have built a successful online tutoring practice supporting GCSE, A‑Level and undergraduate students in Psychology, Sociology and Criminology.
My background includes SEND-informed practice, particularly supporting learners with autism, ADHD and anxiety, which has shaped my calm, patient and highly structured approach.
I am currently completing an MA in Education, which strengthens my evidence-based teaching methods and keeps my practice aligned with the latest research in learning, cognition and inclusive pedagogy.
