I am the author of four scientific publications in the field of linguistic relations in Russian, English and Tatar.

While living in the UK I have worked as a freelance tutor and translator for Scottish&Newcastle, Scottish Parliament, NHS and Rudolf Steiner School. I am really proud of the fact that among my students are people of different ages, knowledge of Russian and purposes of learning it and who are professionals in different fields for example in language and science teaching, sales and marketing, medical research, social work, to name just a few.

Tutoring Approach:
Always try to make students interested in the subject I teach. Create a ftiendly and an encouraging learning environment. Not afraid to praise them even if they do not get immediate good results. Tend to get feedback from them. Plan carefully each lesson. Use the Internet and PC in preparing for lessons. I have been tutoring children in English, Ukrainian and Russian in my home country, Ukraine, for two years. The results were meaningful: they got the desirable grades and gained confidence in mastering the languages. What is more significant, they found themselves not being bored while learning anymore!

My approach is to explain each topic to the student using a lot of examples and playing life situations. Then we start using the language as soon as possible - practice is the key. I ask the learner a lot of questions to boost up his creative thinking and confidence. Doing productive and focused work during the lesson, I do not give a lot of homework, but provide a bunch of materials (easy TV series, music), which I tell my students to surround themselves with. Every lesson we recall what has been already learnt in order to gain mastery of the language through consistency.
