I am an experienced and skilled Tutor of French, Russian and English as a foreign language. I have been tutoring continuously on a part time basis for 12 years, typically working with 5 or 6 students at any one time. I have spent several years living and working abroad, so this has given me quite an international outlook. At the same time, I am quite well-travelled within the UK and have a good understanding of English history, culture and customs. I am a children's book writer; I write fairy tales for children about nature; 3 of my books have been published.

Tutoring Approach:
At the first lessons, communicating with the student, I find out at what level of their knowledge and what help is needed from me. It is also important to understand what result the student wants to achieve: general improvement of the Russian language or preparation for the exam. Your goal will become my goal in finding the right material for the training. I will become your best friend and mentor in the learning process, I will help and support you in everything. One of my main tasks is to make my student feel comfortable and confident in the lesson. I am a very attentive and kind teacher, so we will solve any difficulties in learning easily and quickly. Individual approach is my method of teaching. In the lesson, we will perform many practical tasks, we will reflect and talk on various topics that will be useful in life.

Здрaвствуйте! Would you like to read, speak and understand Russian for any purpose: to pass your GCSE and A level exams, for travel, business or pleasure? I would be able to help. All my lessons are tailored to meet any learning needs and make the learning journey enjoyable.

Teaching Experience:
I am a native speaker of Russian and a Head of a very successful Russian department in a grammar school in London. I teach pupils from year 7 to 13.
I have been teaching languages in the UK for the past 25 years and pride myself in helping my students achieve their dream of studying Russian at Oxbridge and other Russel group universities. Many of my pupils fall in love with the language and carry that love throughout their lives. I am a teacher-examiner for GCSE and A level Edexcel Pearson examboard.

There is a great lack of teaching and learning resources in Russian, that is why I create them myself and base them on the needs of my students.
