I am Marwa, a native Arabic speaker from Egypt. I have over 13 years of experience teaching Arabic language and Holy Quran for non-natives. I used to dive in this amazing language to taste its beauty and discover its treasures. This passion led me to change my career as a software engineer to be an Arabic teacher. Having completed my GCSEs, A-levels, a BSci in Psychology, an MSci in Psychological Research, and currently pursuing a PhD in Perceptual Psychology, I understand the challenges students face. I know what it is like to miss something or not quite grasp a concept as explained by a lecturer. While I love studying, I also recognise that it can be difficult, so I maintain a strict no-question-is-stupid policy. I encourage you to ask me anything and everything related to our studies.

Teaching Experience:
I bring over four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant, specialising in guiding first-year undergraduate students who are just beginning their journey in Psychology. During this time, I have gained extensive experience teaching a wide range of topics and modules within the Psychology degree program through interactive seminars and lectures. I am currently undertaking the Advanced HE Associate Fellowship to develop and demonstrate my teaching excellence.

A significant aspect of my role involves teaching students how to write academic essays that meet university-level standards, which differ substantially from A-level expectations. I am well-versed in the university mark scheme, having assessed and provided feedback on many different essays and practical reports. This experience has honed my skills in delivering constructive written feedback and conducting one-on-one feedback sessions to help students improve their work.

In addition to my role as a teaching assistant, I also have experience as a teaching demonstrator, where I provided hands-on instructions and facilitated practical sessions for second-year students. This role allowed me to engage students in experimental aspects of psychology to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application.

Furthermore, my ongoing PhD studies in Psychology keep me at the forefront of current research and methodologies which I incorporate into my teaching to provide students with up-to date knowledge and practices.

2) Individualised learning plan: Based on the assessment, I create a personalised learning plan that outlines the topics to cover and the order in which to address them. I consider the student's learning style, strengths, and areas needing improvement.

I love teaching Religious Studies and am passionate about giving children their voice and helping to open up the world around them. I have extensive professional and personal experience of neurodiverse learners and currently work part time with autistic young people on a one to one basis. I love reading, cooking with my family and enjoying the Devon countryside with my husband and two children.

I hold both a PGCE in Religious Studies and an MA in Teaching World Religions from Warwick University.
My undergraduate degree is from the University of St Andrews in Social Anthropology.

I am an experienced Religious Studies teacher and former Head of Humanities. I have worked in a number of state secondary schools and at a local sixth form college so I am confident to teach GCSE and A Level Religious Studies. I am also an experienced exam marker for AQA GCSE Religious Studies, bringing a deep understanding of assessment expectations and effective exam preparation. I have a passion for getting to the heart of key concepts in all religions covered by the exam boards.
