I am a fully qualified teacher and have worked as a private tutor since having my first child in 2009. I tutor Maths up to GCSE, offering exam preparation and last minute Easter holiday revision sessions. I also tutor English up to year 9 and specialise in 11+ preparation.

I have six years of full-time teaching experience, working within independent and state schools. In addition, I have tutored a range of children aged between 5 and 16 years of age, privately, and within schools for the National Tutoring Covid Catch-Up Programme. I offer face-to-face tuition which takes place at your home. I am a patient and caring person who can explain things clearly. I am an Open University graduate having completed an BA(Hons) degree. I chose my own programme of study which consisted of French,English Language Studies with GCSE/Standard grade Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. After my degree, I undertook an A-level/Higher Grade Maths course and GCSE/Standard Grade level Latin course to keep my study skills fresh and updated whilst complimenting my degree.

Prior to this, I under went a City and Guilds in Delivering Learning which taught me the vital skills required to be able to plan and construct lessons. In conjunction to this, I have also achieved my Level 1 certificate in British Sign Language.

I have done work with Borders College based in Galashiels where I taught adult evening classes in Mandarin Chinese, Italian and French, which I love. Seeing my students grow and learn is one of the main reasons why I entered the tutoring and teaching profession.

I am a professional geography researcher specialised in regional geography and urban sciences. I have gained my knowledge and expertise from universities across Europe (Pécs, Wolverhampton, Maribor, Zagreb, and Ljubljana). I am currently a PhD Aspirant at the University of Pécs, Hungary.

I have been mainly researching in the field 'geography of energy', but my interests link my specification to other scientific disciplines such as sustainability, environmental sciences, and landscape geography, and I am able to perform and combine various geographical fields.

During my years as a PhD Student, I was given the chance to gain experience as a lecturer; teaching subjects which included: renewable energy resources and world regional geography. In 2015, I officially became a teacher after successfully completing my PGCE at the Birmingham City University in England.

English is essentially a skills based subject. I am originally from Turkey and I came to England to pursue my dream as an SEN specialist. I studied MA Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In the mean time, I topped up my knowledge studying 2 years foundation degree in Child Development to have more of a professional perspective on early years/Foundation stage.

In 2018, I moved to England to start my MA studies in Special Needs and carried on teaching 1-1 ever since I graduated in 2020.

I worked with several children/teenagers/young adults across Manchester within different settings. I got trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis/ABA and tutored in this area offering behavioural support alongside the academic support I have been offering.

I got regular students in Manchester , offering home schooling, pastoral and behavioural support on a regular basis. I have also offered short term interventions , behavioural/emotional support to students who have different needs during this period.

Teaching Experience:
I have over a decade of hands‐on teaching and leadership experience. For the past ten years I served as Principal of Jannah Education Complex in Pakistan, where I designed, managed and delivered the full KS1-KS3 curriculum-coaching students extensively in reading, writing, mathematics and science, leading a staff of 12 teachers, and implementing data-driven assessment strategies to boost outcomes. Teaching Experience:
I've had the chance to teach in a variety of settings, from large groups to one-on-one sessions. For a year, I taught English to a class of 33 first-year law students, designing lessons that focused on the specific language skills they needed in a legal context. I created activities to improve both their written and oral comprehension and regularly assigned homework, which they'd send to me for corrections and feedback.

I also taught a smaller group of 15 students twice a week for a year. This gave me the chance to connect with them more individually and adapt my lessons to their needs.

For the past two years, I've been working with individual students once or twice a week, depending on their goals and level of independence. Each lesson is tailored to their needs, with structured exercises and tasks to help them improve their written and spoken skills. I always make sure to provide regular feedback so they can track their progress and stay motivated.

I graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL in Art, Art History and with a Subsidiary Subject in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (First Class).

I have exhibited my work internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include Kebbel-Villa museum in (Bavaria), BeAdvisors (Milan) Darren Flook (London) and at Imlabor (Tokyo). Selected recent exhibitions include VIN VIN (Vienna), Annarumma gallery (Naples), Paradise Row, VO Curations, Collective Ending, The Residence Gallery, Roman Road, Southwark Park galleries (London), White Columns (New York) and Spazio Amanita x Avant Arte (Florence). My work is held in numerous notable collections, including the Zuzäns Collection, Zuzeum Art Centre (Riga), Sof:Art (Bologna) Collezione Taurisano (Naples) and Maureen Paley (London).

Teaching Experience:
I have built up 7 years experience teaching from secondary school to University Level.

I work as an Associate Lecturer on the BA Painting Programme at Camberwell College of Arts (University of the Arts London), as a mentor on the Turps Painting Programme and was invited to be a Visiting Artist at Goldsmiths for 2023, and again for 2024. I am also a Dissertation Supervisor for Final Year students at Camberwell on their BA Programme. My specialism is Art History, however I have extensive knowledge of a wide variety of subjects and my tutees have all immensely improved their grades (often by multiple grade bands) and have been very happy with their results.

I also teach writing for a wide variety of audiences. I have experience writing reviews of exhibitions for Mousse magazine and an in conversation series with key artistic figures, including Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, Markus Lüpertz, Leidy Churchman and Chris Martin. In 2019 my writing won the a-n arts prize and I took part in a series of workshops facilitated by prominent writers and editors, such as the Editor of Frieze magazine.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is very much centred on the student. I believe it's very important to spend time listening to the students' particular needs, their interests and learning goals in order to tailor a course of lessons to play to their strengths and build on their weaknesses.
