I am a qualified teacher of English with many years of study, research and training in some of the world's top universities. My qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English Literature and the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in English. My Initial Teacher Training covered all aspects of English and all abilities in the 11-18 age range. I decided to start tutoring after my experience in trying to get tutors for my own children. As a professional working internationally I thought it would be easy to hand over this important element of their education to someone with both experience and patience. My notion was quickly turned on its head. The Tutors I found taught textbook style with the one shoe fits all approach. My children and others didn't fit into that mould. Successfully participated as an Assistant Moderator (Postal), to moderate the work from approximately 20 centres with candidates taking the examination in 0544/03 Foreign Language Arabic Speaking (c/w) for the June 2018 & 2019 sessions. In addition, I have also worked as an Assistant Examiner to mark the work of approximately 400 candidates taking the examination in 0508/01 First Language Arabic Reading (scoris) for the June 2018&2019 sessions, where the marking was done via RM processor. Furthermore, due to my excellence in the pre mentioned 4 modules, I was asked to perform further services with Cambridge assessments, where I was required to proofread test material for 3180/01 & 3180/02 OL Arabic June 2019. Throughout my work with Cambridge, a keen eye on detail and meeting deadlines were a key aspect of my work which extended my contracts further in 2019, when I was asked to be the Setter for the 9680/21 test material for AL Arabic November 2021.
