I have spent many years accumulating a wide range of academic qualifications, and my work has often primarily consisted of passing on my knowledge to others in a form they can understand. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. By virtue of having studied several subjects at a high level, I empathise with the feeling of finding something difficult, and have the patience and technique to get past this. I am a highly successful GCSE and A Level teacher of over 10 years. As well as QTS status, I am a T&L specialist with additional qualifications of Cteach and Advanced Teacher Status, as well as qualified and highly successful SENDCo. I am a fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. I lead in inclusion and diversity - supporting schools to break the barriers of inequality. Previously I have been Head of Departments for History and Social Sciences before moving further in my career. I have a passion for engaging and challenging T&L, and focus on nurturing skills as well as context and narrative. I can adapt my teaching to suit any age range or ability and have great success in top grade outcomes (A Level A/A*, and GCSE 7+) as well as supporting children achieve their aspirations.

In my approach I study the challenges with the client and together set out a plan with a guiding timeline to reach goals and targets.

Having worked in student services, course administration and tutored/mentored at University, I have become well rounded in the field of education.

Coming from an ethnic background I understand cultural sensitivity and tact when dealing with sensitive matters and for most young students I easily build a rapport to gain their trust and respect.

During my work experience I have acquired excellent time management skills, as well as interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills (written and oral), not to mention a keen eye for detail.
