I have spent many years accumulating a wide range of academic qualifications, and my work has often primarily consisted of passing on my knowledge to others in a form they can understand. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. By virtue of having studied several subjects at a high level, I empathise with the feeling of finding something difficult, and have the patience and technique to get past this. I am not a single-subject specialist who might find it difficult to understand why others struggle in their area of expertise.

My whole career has been geared towards some form of teaching. I have trained groups of adults and children, as well as individuals, in elements of mathematics, psychology, actuarial science, pensions, and even tennis! I am a 26 year old living in Feltham, I work full time as a Disability Advisor and Autism Specialist Mentor supporting higher education students to access reasonable adjustments, provide pastoral support and advice. Hi, I am Lynette, and I am originally from Singapore. I am a native English and Mandarin, Chinese speaker, and have lived in the UK since 2013. Currently, I am finishing up my PhD in neuroscience (in the final stages) where I work frequently with children with and without learning disabilities and/or neurodevelopment disorders. I enjoy teaching greatly, as it brings me a sense of joy and pride when I see my students, be it a curious child or a determined adult, improve and gain confidence in themselves.

I'm a fully qualified Psychology teacher of GCSE and A Level Psychology with over 33 years of experience working in schools and Sixth Form Colleges across London and Cheshire. Throughout my career, I've led successful Psychology departments and helped countless students build confidence and achieve their goals in this fascinating subject. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and specialise in the AQA specification at A Level and Edexcel specification at GCSE.
