I have a dual background in Electrical Engineering and Psychology and retired in 2007 after 20 years as a University lecturer. At different stages in my career I have taught telecommunications engineering, computer programming, software engineering, artificial intelligence and psychology. I have been tutoring students since March 2008 and am able to offer maths, physics and ICT from primary up to 'A' level, and general science (biology, chemistry, and physics) up to GCSE level. I have taught GCE A-level Maths, Further Maths and Physics with a number of students who have obtained places at Oxbridge/ Russell Group Universities to study Engineering, Maths, Medicine and Economics. At postgraduate level I can advise on research methods and statistics.

I am a chartered psychologist and can carry out educational and psychological assessments of both children and adults who are experiencing learning or language difficulties (however, I do not undertake remedial teaching).

If the pupil is poorly motivated and/or has acquired unhelpful learning habits then we may need to vary the approach in order to re-engage their interest and/or find a level at which they can perform successfully, and then build on this accomplishment.

I hold a MSc in Molecular Life Sciences from Université de Lausanne Switzerland and a BSc in Biology from Imperial College, specializing in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Neuroscience. Hello, My name is Lincoln, I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am presently a master's student at Newcastle University, pursuing a master's in Applied Mathematics. I worked as a teacher assistant during my school days in Math classes and supported students who had difficulties with the subject. I think Mathematics is accessible to all; we only need to discover the best methods of presenting the concepts as educators. I assist my students in boosting their confidence when tackling new questions and encourage them to utilize their creativity alongside their knowledge when confronting a challenging problem. Remember that studying Mathematics revolves around making errors and gaining knowledge from those errors.

I have participated in numerous Mathematics Olympiads as well. I've studied Mathematics thoroughly from the start, which means I also instruct my students in a way that encourages understanding Mathematics, NOT rote memorization
