I have experience in meeting the needs of neurodivergent students. It is important that the principles are understand because all else flows from this. I am a Turkish Cypriot and I am quite familiar to the GCSE and A-level curriculum. Apart from my academic background I'd like to address couple more stuff I have in my life. First off I have to state that I love learning and teaching new stuff, and also I believe teaching is the older brother of learning; as you can not say that you have learned something deeply if you are unable to teach it to someone that does not know it; like I play chess and have been the 6th table player of my municipality's chess team. Even though I have attended many many games with that team I was not aware of the fact that thinking simple would actually be a benefit in any game, and I realized this when last year I have aided an association's chess team in stars category as an educator. When working with youngsters that are looking at the game much simpler than you do, you have to match their energy and try to predict what obstacles may get in their way, and I believe this working experience improved me quite a bit in that matter. Having taught people who struggled with subjects at school I try to find easy examples to illustrate particular concepts. I also believe that humour is a key part of the learning environment, and that learning should be enjoyable as well as educational.

While I am happy to meet face to face, I find that online tutoring works equally well and has the advantage of being able to record sessions that can be used by the student when revising. Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced and passionate Maths and Science Tutor with extensive teaching experience across all three sciences - Biology, Chemistry, and Physics - including Combined Science at both GCSE and A-Level. Over the years, I have successfully taught students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and abilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen their scientific understanding, and achieve excellent examination results.

I am fully familiar with all major UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, which allows me to tailor lessons specifically to the requirements, assessment styles, and mark schemes of each specification. My teaching approach combines strong subject knowledge with exam-focused techniques, ensuring students not only understand the content but also know how to apply their knowledge effectively in examinations.

I have a strong track record of student achievement, with many students improving by at least two grades after working with me. One of my most rewarding success stories involved students who were initially predicted grades 3-3 in Combined Science and went on to achieve grades 7-6 in their final GCSE examinations.
Over the years, my A level students have progressed into fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, Mechanical Engineering, and Psychology.

I take pride in identifying individual learning needs, breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple and engaging explanations, and creating a supportive learning environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.

In addition to improving academic performance, I focus on developing students' confidence, independent learning skills, and exam technique. My lessons are structured, interactive, and adapted to each student's pace and goals, whether they are aiming to pass, secure top grades, or prepare for progression into A-Level studies, university, or healthcare-related careers.

Tutoring Approach:
I take an interactive and structured approach to tutoring, starting with what the student already knows and building from there. My lessons are discussion-based rather than passive, encouraging active participation.

To ensure engagement, I incorporate practice questions to help apply concepts effectively. I also use visual aids and real-world examples to keep lessons dynamic and relatable.

My lessons are bespoke to each student and tailored to what they are covering at school, which helps boost engagement in the classroom and build confidence, especially when teachers recognise their progress through improved assessment grades.
