Personal Description:
I am an Open University graduate with a 2.1 Honours degree in Computing, Science, and Mathematics. I have taught Computer Aided Design and Engineering Mathematics at my local college. I take great pride in my work and offer friendly, relaxed and professional tuition on a one to one basis in my own home or the tutee's home residence. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my teaching and I utilise innovative and effective teaching methods in an effort to make the learning process a thoroughly satisfying and rewarding experience. I also adopt a caring, friendly approach and always put my pupil's needs first, at all times.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for over 10 years now, both in local colleges and in pupil's private residences. I have experience of teaching pupils of all ages as well as pupils with SEN including dyslexia and dyspraxia. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my work and I believe this is clearly exhibited in my tutoring sessions. I have extensive experience of teaching 8-19-year-olds as well as teaching the older generation. I currently teach Computer Aided Design and Engineering Mathematics at Wakefield College as well as private maths and science tuition up to and including A-level standard.

Tutoring Approach:

During my tutoring sessions, I make every effort to ensure the learning experience is both an enjoyable and interesting one. I use a variety of learning resources and tutoring methods to introduce a varied and innovative approach to the session. I always engage with the pupil and listen carefully to every one of their responses. I take the pupil through a carefully formulated learning program which is compiled from a detailed assessment of their tuition requirements; this is always discussed with the parent/guardian before the program commences, to ensure that they are happy with the arrangements. I am a very friendly and relaxed individual and I like to convey these feelings during my tutoring sessions and always try to make the pupil feel comfortable with the whole learning process and ensure I work at their pace at all times.

Personal Description:
I hold a Physics Degree from Oxford University and am now a commercial airline pilot. I have extensive experience tutoring over the past fifteen years and also spent three years teaching future airline pilots for their ground school exams.

I tutor Maths (including Further Maths) and Physics at A-Level and below. I feel that Maths and Science should be fun and enjoyable to learn - and feel that if they are taught in the right way this can be easy to achieve.

Teaching Experience:

I started tutoring when I left Oxford University and have a very successful record with my past students. My last student enjoyed her GCSE tutoring so much that she went on to choose both maths and physics at A-level.

I also spent three years teaching young adults to prepare them for the examinations required for Airline pilots. My subjects were Meteorology and General Navigation - science and maths based subjects.

Whilst at University I completed a "teaching physics in schools" module and spent time as a science teaching assistant in a local Oxfordshire school.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel it is very important for learning to be interesting and enjoyable. I use my passion for Science and Maths to pass this enjoyment on to my students. Every student is an individual and therefore has a teaching method to suit them. However for all students my approach is firm but kind - all students need encouragement and praise when they complete a task which challenges them - and need that extra motivation at times when things are difficult.

Personal Description:
I am 62 years old and I have worked as a maths tutor for over 15 years

This is something I really enjoy and I gain a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing children learn , progress and

SUCCEED

I live in Liverpool and I can run the sessions either in my own home , or in the pupils home. I offer discounted rates for tutoring small , groups of pupils

I prefer face to face lessons. On a Saturday I travel to clients homes for face to face lessons. In the week Clients come to my home in Crosby. Sunday is the one day I do not work. I can do ZOOM lessons if it is impossible for me to travel to you.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in a number of schools , and have taught , both , pupils who find maths very easy and those who find it very difficult.

I have taught both in primary and secondary schools. I have taught all levels up to A level maths.

I mark GCSE maths exams, working for EDEXCEL. So having marked over 50,000 GCSE questions I am very aware of the common mistakes pupils make. Just by eliminating , their basic errors , will result in most pupils going up one GCSE grade. Learning to answer the TEN banker questions , that turn up year after year , should also boost a pupil by a grade

Tutoring Approach:

Maths is about mastering a number of key skills. So rather than try to teach the whole of the GCSE maths course , I focus on a few key skills starting with the basic Sums , before moving onto ratio , percentage , factorisation and algebra.

The key points are - get rid of basic errors - learn a bit - practice a lot

In particular I like my pupils to practice past exam papers , as the best way to get better at GCSE maths , is to do LOTS of GCSE maths questions

Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified teacher with extensive experience teaching A-Level Mathematics and Physics in mainstream secondary schools. Over the past 10+ years, I have taught the full A-Level syllabus-including Core Mathematics, Mechanics, Statistics, and Further Pure Mathematics-within formal school settings, giving me deep insight into curriculum requirements, examination standards, and the specific challenges students face in tackling exam questions.

Track Record of Results
My students consistently achieve the best possible grades at GCSE and A-Level. Many have secured places at their preferred universities, while others have moved up two grade levels within a single term-some showing 50% improvement in performance in just one term. I have helped students across the ability range, from those in lower sets exploring their full potential to those achieving the highest marks across entire year groups. Students frequently report that subject material becomes significantly easier to follow once we work through it together, leading to greater confidence and stronger performance in their mainstream school classes.

Additional Expertise
Beyond A-Level and GCSE Mathematics and Physics, I also prepare students for:
11+ and Common Entrance exams (Mathematics, Comprehension, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Writing)
7+ and 13+ entrance assessments
GCSE Mandarin (listening and speaking focus)
I welcome students of all ages who are seeking structured, results-driven private tuition. Parent recommendations are available upon request.

Personal Description:
I am an aerospace engineer by qualification with a Bachelor's and Masters degree from the University of Leeds in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. I joined the automotive industry in 2015 and have since worked in engineering. Being an engineer and coming from a family of engineers, Maths is naturally my favourite subject and my strength. I have completed my GCSE with 8As (including Maths & Additional Maths) and I scored 596 out of 600 in GCE Edxcel Pure Mathematics (A) and Further Pure Mathematics (A) in 2010. I have a long history of tutoring Maths, Physics and English since 2008.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring GCE & GCSE level Maths and Physics since 2008. I offer both one-to-one tuition and studying in a groups, both online and in-person. Generally, I recommend 1.5 hour or 2 hours per week per student, covering one topic per session and complementing the session work with homework for practice. I often use AQA, Edexcel and CIE past papers for revision and exam preparation. I also prepare my own mock papers and exam style questions depending on students' abilities. Lesson structures of course vary to cater to each student's needs.

Tutoring Approach:

All subjects are taught through explanation, reasoning, examples and home practices. Science is taught through understanding of the theory and practising problem solving while Mathematics is taught by showing the simple steps and with easy tips & tricks to remember the method or to remember common values such as sin 30=0.5. Primary English as a foreign language is taught through reading to expand vocabulary, writing to improve spelling and grammar as well as conversing to bring proficiency and comfort. After every session, the topic related exercises and homework are given for better understanding and to build student's confidence to solve any problem relating the topic.

Personal Description:
After completing my D.Phil from the University of Oxford, I worked for 7 years as a Senior Biologist for a small drug discovery company where I was responsible for screening new drug targets in tissue models for human disease. Over the years I've had so many comments from students/colleagues about my ability to break subjects down to ease understanding, and coupled with my passion for science and sharing that with others I decided to change career and become a full-time science tutor. I've never looked back!

I am also a freelance examiner for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) - examining is invaluable to my role as a science tutor and to the development of my students' abilities in preparation for their examinations. It has taught me to understand the very specific focus of each syllabus as a whole, to read for the specific aim of relevant text, and to concentrate not just on surface comprehension but to expand science beyond basic skills.

I have many hobbies but particularly enjoy outdoor pursuits including: sailing, mountaineering, climbing, mountain biking and running. Most of my free time though is spent with my wonderful husband and beautiful tots!

Teaching Experience:

During my time researching at Oxford, I tutored an array of students in Biochemistry, Biology, Genetics, Human Science and Medicine.

I have vast tutoring experience at both GCSE, AS/A2 level covering all UK exam specifications, including IB.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring style is informal, working with each student to improve their approach to learning whilst maintaining motivation. At the end of the day, learning should be fun!

I usually charge a very small travel fee to cover the cost of fuel.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to make students comfortable first so that they can ask questions, I believe no question is silly.to be honest I can observe easily if the student has understood what I explained or not, then I prompt looks like you didn't understand, so let's learn again. Teaching Experience:

I've been trusted to mentor younger students who are struggling in particular sbjects, and enjoyed helping them to achieve thorough understanding of the weak areas. I work hard, smart and systematically to help more students to enjoy Maths/Science and gain better grades. I have tutored KS3, GCSE and A-level maths, chemistry and physics for a few years and really enjoyed teaching and finding methods that work for the students.
Up to now, all my students are very happy with my tuitions, patient, right-to-the-point and inspiring.

#Delightfully provided private tutoring services to tutees at different levels

&Always identified the needs of learners and if necessary adapted course content and delivery specially-tailored style for the `common` targets

&Provided assistance to students with weak study areas until full understanding (Using their homework, other class assignments, online resources, revision notes and past papers)

&Inspired students to really enjoy the subjects and learn how to learn with joy and efficiency

&Successfully made three groups (KS3, GCSE and A-level) of grade C/B students achieving grade A/A* in Maths and science

&Tought my Chinese (Mandarin) students not only one of the oldest living and most challenging language, but also the ancient oriental culture background and philosophy fundamentals in depths: 大道至简至易( Laotze said that the way to achieve THE great DAO is usually the simplest and easiest way. It may be so simple that you want to laugh about it. "Too easy to believe")

Tutoring Approach:

I take a relaxed approach to teaching and inspire tutees to understand and enjoy what they're learning. Always tailoring the teaching method & materials to their individual needs, my approach is friendly, patient and structured with plenty of materials in application.
I pay very close attention to what the learners are going through, and give them the time and step-by-step guides they need to fullly understand the subject.
