My approach is very student centric - focused on the needs of the student. If I believe theory is lacking, I will explain the theory in a comprehensive way. I am a versatile full-time tutor with experience in teaching comprehensive, independent, boarding, and overseas school students online, during a lesson we review exam papers and focus on the questions to highlight the necessary skills and knowledge needed to attain higher grades. Once we have identified gaps in subject knowledge we can then focus on specific skills and topics to build confidence and understanding.

Personal Description:
I followed my passion for understanding the world around me into science to become a cosmologist. Talking about scientific concepts and their connections, and passing on the torch, is just the best.

Through my master's degree at Perimeter Institute I have acquired a strong background in theoretical and mathematical physics. In my PhD at UCL I focused on statistical methods for astronomical data analysis of big cosmology surveys. I worked as a post-doctoral research assistant for 2.5 years on projects across weak gravitational lensing and supernova cosmology, with a stronger focus on machine learning methods. I also worked as a data scientist for the private sector for a few months.

Teaching Experience:
In my five years of experience as full-time private tutor for physics and mathematics I have worked with many students on a variety of subjects, including the following:
* pretty much any Physics lecture from the University of Edinburgh undergraduate curriculum, especially exam prep for the dreaded 3rd year track: quantum mechanics 1&2, thermal physics, statistical mechanics, electromagnetism & optics, dynamics and physics of matter, condensed matter physics, and many more
