Hello! My name is Gemma and I am a 32 year old doctor, chartered accountant, strategy consultant and successful start up founder. I graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2016, switched to finance, became a qualified chartered accountant, and now work for one of the 'Big4' in health advisory and strategic consulting. However, my heart will always lie with the sciences, and somehow in amongst all of my wide ranging career, my favourite job has always been teaching.

Hello! I`m Simon. I hold a PhD in structural biophysics/biochemistry, plus I have an honours degree in biochemistry and a masters in clinical chemistry. I also have eighteen years of experience working in clinical biochemistry laboratories within the NHS. I've tutored previously in St Mary's Ukrainian School for a period of 6 months, where I tutored GCSE Maths and brought up three peoples' grades from a 7 to a 9, a 6 to an 8 and a 6 to a 9 respectively. By assessing each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, I design lessons that promote understanding rather than rote memorization. I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of concepts, particularly in mathematics, while providing continuous feedback and encouragement. Personal Description:
I am a Liverpool-based Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at UWE Bristol with nearly six years of tutoring and education-support experience. I teach Maths and Science from KS2 through GCSE, with suitable A-level topics considered after checking the exact subject and content. I offer online tuition across the UK and in-person lessons in selected Liverpool areas.

Teaching Experience:
From August 2020 to June 2026, I worked as a Tutor and Education Support Assistant at The One Tuition Ltd. I delivered one-to-one and small-group tuition, prepared lessons, adapted explanations for different learners and communicated with pupils and parents. My experience includes Maths and Science across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, alongside safeguarding, behaviour support and practical support for learners with diverse additional needs.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is patient and structured. I identify the exact misconception, explain the concept clearly, model a worked example and use guided practice before gradually reducing support as the learner becomes more confident. I adapt the pace and explanation to the individual, check understanding regularly and keep communication clear with parents where appropriate.
