I have a surface pro with a pen for online lessons. In economics and maths, I use an online whiteboard which students have permanent access to, to write notes and solutions to exam questions. My approaches in teaching and tutoring are very flexible depending on the needs and ways the students would like. This enables me to deliver. Always I attempt to make the topics as enjoyable as possible, as practical as possible, as realistic as possible, etc. Especially, nowadays and through the lockdown time and using online. Through, online: presentation on the topics can be animated and decorated to enable deep penetration to the brain of the students. I also assume that learning is always possible and achievable even if the student is Dyslectic or disable. My theme always shows that there is NO Impossible. And many more...

I, Ms Soo Jung, am an exceptionally effective Physics and General Science educator and motivator. I have over 12 years of providing individualised student-centred instruction across a range of curricula, ages, language levels and abilities. Tutoring Approach:
My primary approach to tutoring is to provide an emotionally safe and supportive learning environment that augments and develops the students existing knowledge and understanding, by ensuring a solid comprehension of the conceptual basis of Science in general and Physics in particular. I actively engage my students with the material being covered so that they feel passionately and enthusiastically involved with the process of knowledge creation.
I believe that every student has access to a unique perspective and skill set that they can employ when attempting to solve new problems, in unfamiliar situations and they are strongly encouraged to show resilience and perseverance especially when creativity, critical thinking and reflection are required. Overall my tutoring approach places the student at the centre of the education process, supported by a kind, caring protective framework.

Personal Description:
I am a qualified secondary science teacher who specialises in Biology. I currently work at Buxton and Leek College as Lead Lecturer for T-Level Health and BTEC Health and Social Care. I have a degree in Biology, experience working within the NHS and I am currently tutoring to students in the evenings, alongside my full time FE teaching role.
I am a very relaxed teacher, who likes to get to know my students so I can tailor a personalised approach to my lessons.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan, love books, movies and board games.

Teaching Experience:
I am a PGCE trained science teacher and I have spent 1 year teaching in a secondary school where I was able to teach all science subjects to GCSE students. I ran an after school science club to a group of students who were wanting additional support. I have spent the past 1.5 years lecturing at Buxton College to T-Level and BTEC students, teaching both Biology and Chemistry to level 3 and 4 students plus healthcare units. I have also been private tutoring for the past 10 months in the evenings.

Tutoring Approach:
I will first start by gauging my students abilities, strengths and weaknesses. I will then develop a personalised plan for each student so that we can develop areas of weakness and build upon their core strengths. I have a very relaxed style and realise that students learn better when they are engaged and interested in he content. I like to relate science to a real world context, so that students know why they are being taught the information.
