I am a full time A Level Physics and Mathematics teacher at a Tertiary College. We have about 50 students in each of years 12 and 13. 26 of our Physics students gained grade As at AS Level in 2006. 48% A and A* at A2 Level in June 2011. This is twice the Welsh average which puts us at the top of tree. 67% A*,A or B in 2012 in my class.Three of my students have won the Institute of Physics prize for the highest A Level marks in Wales with several gaining 600/600. As a teenager I was lucky enough to receive tuition myself and it made a huge difference, so I really know how much of an advantage it gives.

Tutoring is my full-time job and has been for many years.

I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English since 2007, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Maths, Science and English are the three main subjects that people tend to want tutoring in. (Actually it's five subjects if you break the Science down into Biology, Chemistry and Physics.)

Anyway, as I tutor all of these subjects, my students find it very useful that I can potentially cover a different subject each week, or I can do two hours a week and cover a different subject in each hour.

I received an outstanding set of GCSE grades and my set of results was even published in the school newspaper. Besides my job at the university, I have worked as a private tutor helping students in Mathematics and Physics. I have 5 years of tutoring experience in the UK, preparing students for their GCSEs and A-level in Physics, Maths and Further Maths across multiple exam boards. I have also tutored degree students in their first-year subjects.

As a college student, I received training to participate in National contests in Physics and Mathematics, winning multiple accolades. I was a Member of the Cuban Team for the International Physics Olympiads in 2005 and 2006.
