I have seen students` confidence in their abilities increases and their understanding deepens. Over fifteen years, I have guided students across KS3, KS4, GCSE, A-level and Further A-level and IB Diploma - many of whom have gone on to read Medicine, Veterinary Science, Engineering and other highly competitive degrees at leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

Tutoring Approach:
I work exclusively online via Zoom, with a shared interactive whiteboard, structured homework, and direct email communication between sessions.

Each engagement begins with a diagnostic session. I assess the student's current level, identify the specific gaps in their understanding, and build a tailored programme from there. Every student receives a strategy designed around their syllabus and their individual goals.

Typical sessions combine targeted concept work and past-paper practice. Between lessons, homework is prepared and shared on the whiteboard; I follow up by email once it is ready. Progress is reviewed continuously, and the plan is adjusted accordingly.

My students are expected to invest effort between sessions and complete their homework. I work with a small, carefully selected cohort of students each term. Places are limited and not all enquiries are accepted. I hold a current PVG Scheme certificate and am fully vetted. For families who require it, I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to any engagement. Enquiries are handled with complete confidentiality.

I'm Mel, a father of three children living in Manchester. I tutor for entrance exams and GCSE and KS3 Maths, English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Additionally I tutor A level Biology and welcome adult learners.

Teaching Experience:

We`ll use a combination of slideshows, online whiteboard tasks, lots of discussion, and past paper practice to help you get the marks you need.

I'm Bashar, a third-year medical student at the University of Cambridge (Peterhouse), originally from Liverpool. Maths and the sciences have always been my strongest subjects, and I enjoy helping students find them as logical and manageable as I do. Outside my studies I captain and coach my college football team, which has taught me a lot about motivating people and building confidence. I tutor online and hold an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Teaching Experience:
I've been tutoring since 2022 and have delivered around 500 hours of one-to-one teaching, mainly in GCSE and A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I've worked with students across the major exam boards and a wide range of abilities, from those who needed to rebuild their confidence and secure a pass to high achievers pushing for 9s and A*s. Much of my work involves exam preparation: filling gaps in content, practising past papers, and sharpening exam technique in the run-up to mocks and final exams.

I focus on genuine understanding first, so students can tackle unfamiliar questions rather than just memorise answers, then reinforce it with exam-style practice and clear feedback on how marks are awarded. I keep sessions structured but relaxed, set short goals between lessons, and keep parents updated on progress where appropriate. My aim is for every student to leave each session more confident than when they started.
