Tutoring Approach:
I have a detailed knowledge of all current syllabus for GCSE Sciences, Maths, (as well as Maths and Science IGCSE, Functional Skills, and BTEC), and all current A level Chemistry and Biology syllabus's. I use a combination of theory, exam practice questions, past paper questions, and workbooks in the lessons, to improve pupil confidence with exam technique, and focus on exam skills.

In addition, I adapt my teaching methods to support the pupils learning needs and help to identify areas of study in which they need help to improve. I also look at revision methods and planning revision timetables with pupils to help them find the option which works best for their learning needs.

I am the head of Biology and a qualified science teacher currently teaching at an Outstanding school in Ealing. I am currently teaching A level Biology as well as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:
I have seven years of experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at secondary and GSCE levels, and six years teaching A level biology. I received Bachelors degrees in biology and education from the University of Manitoba in Canada, where I taught secondary school science and tutored secondary-aged students for two years.

Tutoring Approach:
Through my time as a qualified teacher, I have gained experience with a range of students at all ability levels. I am approachable and friendly and am able to work with students to identify their specific needs and how best to help them succeed. It is important to me to help students build a love of science in order to build confidence and success. Latterly I have taught KS2 Maths up to GCSE, GCSE Physics up to A2 Physics. At A-level I am very familiar with the AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications . I have also taught Advancing Physics. I prefer to teach in my own home where I have all of my resources. Latterly I have been teaching online using Zoom.
