My approach to tutoring is student-centered, supportive, and tailored to individual learning needs. I strive to create an engaging and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. By assessing each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, I design lessons that promote understanding rather than rote memorization. I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of concepts, particularly in mathematics, while providing continuous feedback and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to foster independent learning skills and a lifelong appreciation for education.

Personal Description:
I have over 20 years of tutoring experience and specialise in AQA/ OCR A Level Physics and Edexcel Maths. I also teach both subjects for GCSE. I have a First Class Honours degree in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Maths. I am a MIEE and a CEng.

Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring maths and physics for over 20 years, full time for the past 10 years. I teach AQA, Edexcel, OCR(A) and WJEC. I teach both UK and international students and my focus is sound principles and building student motivation to achieve excellent examination results.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to build lessons around the very latest past paper questions pertinent to the requirements of each student. I focus on exam technique, strategy and question trends for each board.

I offer unlimited free support outside tutoring sessions by answering any questions via WhatsApp and help in using AI and other tools in the most advantageous ways.

I am a retired research engineer with degrees in engineering and maths. I am a Chartered Engineer, MIEE and also a member of Mensa.
