Hi I'm Niall, a chartered accountant with an Economics degree from The University of Reading. I was twice awarded silver at the UK Maths Challenge and achieved grade A at both A-level and GCSE.

My passion to teach started when I volunteered in a secondary school while at university, then volunteered abroad after. I then provided private tuition for several years at GCSE and A-level mostly for maths, helping improve children's grades.

I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2009 and work as a manager tutoring maths part time. I work shifts so I'm generally available at any time throughout the week and weekend. Sixteen years tutor experience with pupils from year 7 up to adult learners. The majority of my students have been studying for their GCSE's.

There are many teachers on here which may be perfect for some children as a tutor. I am not a qualified teacher however all of my previous students have selected me for that sole reason - so their child has a tutor and not a teacher to help them with their maths. I am studying Aerospace Engineering and will be starting year 2 in September at the University of Sheffield, having averaged a 2:1 this year. I also completed a foundation year at the University of Sheffield in Science and Engineering with 92% in my further maths module and 90% in my maths module. I received A*'s in Mathematics, Numeracy and Physics, along with a Distinction in Additional Mathematics in 2017 for my GCSE's (Cowbridge Comprehensive School) and then an A in Mathematics, a B in Further Mathematics and a C in Physics in my Alevels in 2019 (Howell's School Llandaff).

During year 12 and 13 I did mathematics with year 7's and 8's on a Friday morning during form time. We did maths challenges and quick maths problems. I was also a mathematics prefect during year 13, one of my roles was to help run and support other students during maths 'drop in' during lunch times twice a week, where years 7-13 could go for help with any maths they were doing in class, I usually helped years 7-10 and occasionally year 11.

I believe the best way to learn A-Level Maths is by practice and experience of as many questions and problem types as possible. Having a tutor who is able to guide you through these problems and select an appropriate follow up task whilst also being able to identify key areas in need of development will give you a great advantage in your final exams.

I moved over to full time private online tuition in 2021.
