I have been a teacher for many years having received my PGCE in 1992. Since that time I have worked in a variety of schools in the state and private sectors both in London and Oxfordshire. Teaching physics is a great privilege and pleasure having taught A Level physics for both OCR and Edexcel boards as well as GCSE and iGCSE physics and chemistry. In the mean time, I topped up my knowledge studying 2 years foundation degree in Child Development to have more of a professional perspective on early years/Foundation stage.

In 2018, I moved to England to start my MA studies in Special Needs and carried on teaching 1-1 ever since I graduated in 2020.

I worked with several children/teenagers/young adults across Manchester within different settings. I got trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis/ABA and tutored in this area offering behavioural support alongside the academic support I have been offering.

I got regular students in Manchester , offering home schooling, pastoral and behavioural support on a regular basis. I have also offered short term interventions , behavioural/emotional support to students who have different needs during this period.

Hi my name is April, I'm 21 and I love to teach! Teaching for me is so satisfying, that moment when a student just gets it - when it finally clicks. AMAZING! I find it so rewarding, inspiring people to want to learn. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Additional Maths and Statistics at GCSE level and Maths at A level and I know the importance, having had such an amazing teacher myself, of being taught by someone who is passionate about Maths and passionate about teaching.

I have been tutoring for five years now. I started when I was 16, volunteering for my Duke Of Edinburgh Award at an after-school tutoring centre. Then I went on to having private students of my own at both A level and GCSE level in person and online. I teach up to GCSE level including Further Maths and Additional Maths. In my lessons we figure out together what areas need working on and start from there. I have tutored many GCSE and Alevel students in a tutoring centre and private classes, of which most of them got A to A*. I did A level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Tamil and received 2A* and 2A. I also completed AS Level Further maths in which I obtained an A.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught many students, ranging from year 5 to A level, in a tutoring centre.. I am also currently teaching A level and GCSE students privately. Many of my students have obtained grades As and A*s in their A levels and 7-9 in their GCSEs. I've been involved in tutoring for more than 2 years and I will use the best teaching strategy that is suitable for the student.

Tutoring Approach:
I ensure that every student understands the subject or topic by the end of the lesson. I will make sure that my GCSE and A level students feel confident and comfortable when facing their actual exams, as I tend to do a lot of past paper questions for the students to grasp the technique. If necessary, I will give out discounted tuitions to go through the past paper questions near their exam. I will use the online whiteboard to describe the concepts clearly and I will go through it as many times as the student wants, to ensure that they have understood the concept.

I hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with QTS and PGCE from the University of Birmingham. My background in engineering has provided me with a strong foundation in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, and I am passionate about sharing this knowledge with students. I am dedicated to helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals through personalized support and structured learning.
