I am an enthusiastic and well-motivated Mathematics Graduate from the University of Nottingham and also studied at Mayfield Grammar School Gravesend. I achieved 8 A*'s and 3 A's for my GCSEs and 1 A* and 2 A's for my A-Levels (with an A* in Maths).

Teaching Experience:
I am passionate about encouraging students to learn and helping them to improve their understanding of Maths. I am an experienced private tutor with over 4 years of experience, tutoring KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Maths. I enjoy working with children and I am dedicated to helping them to excel academically.

Tutoring Approach:
I teach each student with a technique that suits them best as I understand that each student has different needs. My method of teaching involves explaining topics with examples and questions from textbooks. I also use past exam papers as these are fundamental for teaching GCSEs. I was born in Glasgow, and attended The Glasgow Academy. I have travelled to over 50 countries, and explored new cultures and languages. I have a degree in Chemical engineering, holding a PGCE in secondary Maths. I played cricket for 2 years with Scotland.

Teaching Experience:
I explore critical thinking with my students, and encourage them to be logical and systematic in their approach to answering questions. I am also an experienced GCSE external examiner. I have worked in Africa and the Gulf countries for 10 years, teaching the equivalent to GCSE mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:
I like students to take the lead and set their own targets. My job would be to guide and modify any planning laid out. Furthermore, I will integrate English into solving higher level context based questions pertaining to real life situations. Master the basic skills with practice and slowly develop the art of solving problems. This will allow students to use the same method to all subjects.

Teaching Experience:
I have taken part in various work experience opportunities in the field of teaching, and have been successful in acquiring the skills to work with children of both primary and secondary school. I have studied A-level maths, hence I have a very strong understanding of the curriculum and the knowledge needed to study GCSE maths. Currently, I am university student studying BSc Economics which requires a deeper understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, which I have gained over my academic studies.

My approach to tutoring consists of understanding the needs of each student, in order to cater for them specifically. I work to understand their strengths and weaknesses, to analyse their gaps in knowledge may lie. I am aware of the steps I will need to take to help each individual succeed in their studies.
