Teaching Experience:
I have tutored twice before, once in nat 5 maths bringing their prelim score of C to an A, and also in higher maths taking them from a fail in the prelim to a B.
I also help do paired reading with the younger students in my school as well as being the Maths Ambassador where I'm helping hold study supports for higher and national 5s as well as aiding students in classes.

Tutoring Approach:
Although I have strategies and methods to many different question types in either maths or chemistry, everybody has a specific way they like learning so I aim to be adaptable and inquisivitive to see how I can tailor the lessons for whoever I'm helping so they can learn best. There's no benefits in being overbearing or strict or expecting the world from someone, rather I prefer to be encouraging, patient and understanding to how hard some sub-sections are of each subject and working at a comfortable pace for the tutee. I'll also of course be happy to make regular reports or tell the tutee's guardian of their progress!

Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. Hi, my name is Krishna. I'm 21 years old and currently studying for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I haven't worked as a tutor before, I've often helped my friends understand some things and I realized it felt nice to teach someone somethings, to pass my knowledge to other people. I'm friendly, patient, and always do my best to make learning comfortable.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring Approach:
Since I don't have formal teaching experience, my approach focuses on building strong fundamentals first. For example, if I'm teaching Math's to a Year 1 student, I start with the basics addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I make sure the student understands the concept behind each problem, because once they understand it, they're already halfway to solving it. After that, I encourage them to try solving questions in their own way. If they make mistakes, I guide them patiently until they understand the correct method.

Highly experienced Maths Tutor since 2014 at A Level, GCSE and degree level including university entrance exams. have always loved Maths. It was an easy decision for me to study a Maths and Statistics degree at the University of London, obtaining a First Class Honours, and I so loved my subject that I continued on to do a PhD in Mathematical Statistics, combining both theoretical maths with application. My career then progressed to teaching and research as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Mathematics Department at the University of Surrey, where I taught Maths and Statistics. In 2014 I decided to work as a full time tutor, which I greatly enjoy and is extremely rewarding.

I also enjoy being with my family and my hobbies are travel, playing piano, swimming, ballet and photography.

Teaching Experience:
Following my BSc and PhD, I was a university lecturer and senior lecturer in the maths department at the University of Surrey for many years and since 2014 I have been private tutoring A level/GCSE, STEP, MAT, TMUA and University level Maths full time. I have tutored many A level and GCSE Tutees, from all examination boards and IB candidates and University students over the years in the UK and overseas. I love Maths, which I have since I was small, and I strongly believe that understanding how Maths works makes the subject more exciting and motivating. It also increases a Tutee's ability to cope with the unexpected stretching questions on A level and University exam papers. I have had a great deal of success with my Tutees, including one who was told by their school that they were incapable of passing foundation Maths and who went on to A level Maths with me and then to get a First Class honours degree in Engineering. Many of my Tutees have successfully obtained Oxbridge offers and then secured their places.

With my specialist Statistics knowledge I can help A level students do really well on their applied Statistics/Mechanics papers as well as the pure, which is an area they often struggle with. Due to my many years of university lecturing experience I have subsequently tutored many degree candidates from various universities in the UK. I have excellent references over the years from the parents and my tutees.

Hi I'm Richard, and have been teaching and tutoring Maths for around 30 years (!). I get on with everybody and am able to draw out from my students what they need to know - the more honest students are about whatever is causing them difficulty, the easier it is to address it. Teaching Experience:
I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE from University of York and a 2(i) Bsc in Mathematics from the University of Durham. I was Head of Maths for ten years before choosing to work for myself. I teach all the exam boards (EdExcel, AQA, OCR). I taught in schools for 15 years before becoming a private Maths tutor for the last 15. I tend to do more A-level than anything else, but GCSE or KS3 are not a problem.

Tutoring Approach:
I tend to get the students to drive each session so we can focus on what they tell me is a problem, whether that's a particular topic, a piece of work they've been set, or a particular question. If in doubt, I get them doing exam questions, as that quickly reveals any issues or weaknesses. It's not a problem for me to react to whatever the student tells me they want to cover that particular week. For online students, I set up an online folder with past papers, formula sheet etc so they can also add anything they want to go through with me. When we cover a topic, I'll write up a revision card for the student for them to keep, so next time it comes up we can pull the card out.
