Hi, I'm Richard. Originally from Northern Ireland, I've been living and teaching in Scotland for the last 20 years.

Maths has always been a subject I've loved, and I enjoy helping young people discover that they can be successful at it too. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students build confidence and develop mathematical skills that will take with them after they leave school.

From an early age I have been extremely enthusiastic about mathematics and since leaving education, and before I chose to pursue a career in education, I have been fascinated by learning and problem solving. I am currently a teacher in a new school in Hackney, East London. The college is for 14-18 year olds so I specialise in GCSE and A-Level maths teaching. Furthermore, I provide and actualize limited group instructions for those students who need tutoring lessons to address certain academic issues.
I work to ensure a clear understanding of various topics for my students by clarifying difficult topics, answering questions properly, and creating keys to principles. In addition, I foster approaching academic learning challenges with patience, understanding that every student has an exclusive pace and pattern of learning.
