I'm thirty and have lived, worked and studied in the south Hampshire area my whole life. I love the area and intend on staying here for the foreseeable future! I'm a doctor currently working as a GP Registrar, having completed a Graduate Entry Medicine degree at the University of Southampton. I've worked in a wide range of specialities, including Child Health, Acute Medicine and General Surgery - and a stint in A&E during the Coronavirus pandemic!
Before starting my studies in Medicine, I completed my BSc. (Hons) Human Physiology at the University of Portsmouth in 2015. I attended Hamble Community Sports College, achieving 14 GCSEs at grade A and A* - top of my year - and Peter Symonds College, studying Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Critical Thinking and General Studies. My Mathematics and Statistics GCSE (taken a year early) were the highest the school had ever achieved, both gaining an A* (99.5% and 100% respectively).

During my GCSE preparation and exam period, I tutored several students in my year and below for Mathematics and Statistics, alongside their current teaching at school. I believe I can offer an alternative to the class driven method of teaching, and allow students to gain aptitude in spotting the need for a calculation just by reading the question, and hopefully then on to creating their own calculations and solutions! I also aim to make a heavy question of 5 or 6 marks appear to be just a group of smaller questions, making each mark easier to get. I am currently a grade-one "outstanding" teacher in my present school, and have been delivering KS3, GCSE and A Level English, Maths and History in the secondary and sixth-form sectors for the past 16 years, in which time my results have far surpassed national pass rates. Moreover, due to these outstanding results and innovative teaching methods, I have served as Assistant Head of Department; helping us to be awarded an internal grade 1 "outstanding" rating for the 6 years in which I held the post. Furthermore, I also have extensive experience as an "Advanced Practitioner"-tasked with turning around failing cohorts in some of the UK's toughest classrooms, as well as my time as an examiner for a variety of GCSE/A Level exam boards.

Moreover, due to this long history of being a stand-out professional in the education sector, my advice has been sought out for occasional media and radio appearances for discussions on educational policy, whilst also being head-hunted to tutor the children of prominent public figures including Premiership footballers, Olympic athletes, luminaries of the business world, and even the family of a Nobel Prize winner for a month-which was awesome!

Hello to all prospective students. My name is Mark and I have been teaching secondary level Science and maths for over 10 years. I am personally passionate about learning and endeavour to ignite the same love of learning in each student that I teach.

I have loved science and maths from a young age and went on to pursue a degree in biomedical sciences, prior to my secondary teacher training. I hope to continue to work with young people to help them realise their own goals in the fields of science and engineering.

Outside the classroom I am an avid musician and play guitar to grade 6 as well as writing and recording my own songs. I love to listen to audiobooks about ancient history and geopolitics, often whilst on a long walk in the countryside. I also like to play some sports and swim occasionally.

Hey I'm Abdul. I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds. I passed my 11+ and attended Wilson's School and I absolutely loved my time there. When studying for my GCSE's, I struggled quite a lot with Chemistry and so I decided to get a tutor. After a few months of receiving tuition, there was a noticeable improvement in my grades and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry GCSE and later on studied it for A-level and achieved a grade A. I was very thankful to my tutors and teachers as I could not have done well in my studies without them.

During my time at sixth form, I volunteered to tutor GCSE students in my school. I later on taught some students outside of school for 1 year and it allowed me to build a long term relationship with my students and be able to actually see improvements in their grades and confidence in that subject. This was an extremely rewarding feeling for me and is what motivates me as a tutor.

In my free time, I like to play badminton and spend time with friends and family.
