The advantage of private lessons is that I can focus on what the individual learner wants, which might be lots of oral practice to become more proficient at speaking, or to pass a specific exam. I do like to set homework from week to week as this is an important part of progress; but it is not compulsory!

For content based material I will get the student to ask questions and tell me what they do not understand, I will then explain the material in simple terms.
