I am a UK qualified teacher with 20+ years' teaching experience. I graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2003 and a year later completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the same university. I have taught in 3 secondary schools located in Buckinghamshire and Derbyshire. My first language is English.

I currently teach all GCSE sciences as well as Year 12 and Year 13 A Level Chemistry at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. I am a designated Advanced Skills Teacher; recognition of my outstanding classroom practice and the excellent results that this generates for the young people I teach. I work for the Cambridge International Exam Board, being an experienced marker of A Level chemistry. Personal Description:
Hi I'm Elise! A second year environmental science student at Lancaster University. I have a wide range of science knowledge and am excited to begin sharing and supporting GCSE aged pupils grow in their knowledge and interest of the sciences as well! Outside of tutoring, I spend lots of my time playing the flute, reading, and hiking! I'm looking forward to beginning this tutoring journey in a fun, creative and beneficial way .

Teaching Experience:
I have experience tutoring one to one close friends and family but I believe I am suited to further tutoring since I already have quite a lot of experience in supporting and facilitating young people in scouting since I am an experienced scout leader in the Winchester district. I also would say I have a recent and relevant understanding of the GCSE syllabus and examinations, especially in the sciences since I am currently taking a Bsc Environmental Science degree and my passion for science has only grown since I took my GCSE's.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring will be adapted specially to each student, depending on how they prefer to be taught but also recognizing weaknesses in the syllabus and working on those until overall confidence is build. I hope to teach in a creative, interactive way that will not only build confidence in the syllabus but also in exam technique and exam nerves too, especially for GSCE students. I am happy to teach all exam boards of combined Science GSCE and the sciences separately too.

Hi, I'm Aysha, and I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor who loves supporting students and helping them succeed in their studies. I have a strong academic background, having completed my studies in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Chemistry. My predicted grades are A* in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics, and A in Chemistry.I enjoy helping students overcome challenging topics and believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

Having only recently studied these subjects myself, I have a strong understanding of the current GCSE and A-Level specifications, exam techniques, and the areas that students often find most challenging. This allows me to explain concepts in a way that is clear, relatable, and tailored to the latest curriculum.

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor with one year of experience working at Fine Tutors, where I worked with students of different ages and abilities, helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance. I also have experience providing private one-to-one A-Level Chemistry tuition, allowing me to tailor lessons to each student's individual learning style and pace.

Having worked with students of varying abilities, I understand that every learner is different. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's needs, whether that involves breaking down complex topics into simpler steps, providing additional practice, or challenging higher-achieving students with more advanced questions. I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.
