Teaching Experience:
I started teaching Italian as a foreign language while studying languages and literatures at university. I kept teaching part-time for 3 years to students of various ages and levels until I graduated.
I then pursued a career in advertising: I worked as copywriter and trainer of new employees for 6 years. I had the opportunity to train new colleagues from all over Europe. I loved training so much that I decided to go back to language teaching, but full-time. I do not have any official qualifications in Italian, however my background in romance languages (Italian is a Latin-based language which, broadly speaking, I find to have a very similar vocabulary to Spanish with the grammar of French!) and my methodical nature means I would ensure that every lesson is thoroughly planned and carefully checked; I would never teach you anything I am unsure of, as this can be greatly detrimental. I am not available to help with exam preparation for Italian or to teach more advanced levels. My lack of qualifications in this subject and the fact that I am not fluent are the reasons that Italian lessons are offered at a lower rate per hour than my other subjects.

​Hi there! I am a 50-year-old native Italian tutor with a law degree and over 10 years of international teaching experience.
​Born and raised in Italy, I moved to the UK at age 30, where I lived just north of London for nearly a decade. During that time, I completed university post-graduate courses specializing in teaching Italian as a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:
For ten years, I taught Italian to children, teenagers, and adults alike-working in colleges, running conversation groups in local community halls, and providing private home tutoring. I have successfully prepared students for GCSE exams, A-Levels, and university tests.
