I am a native Spanish speaker with teaching experience in Italy, Spain and the UK.
I have worked as a translator and now hold the position of Lead Teacher of Spanish with French at a secondary School. I also hold a qualification in Italian which together with my teaching experience in the country provide me with a deep Knowledge of the language.

I have always been passionate about languages and I strongly believe I can transmit this to my pupils.

Teaching Experience:
-April 2009 to present: Secondary school teacher of French and teacher in charge of Spanish. During this time I have given extra tuition for French and Spanish to three school pupils and all of them achieved A*. Home tution for Italian, Spanish and French.

-January 2008 to April 2009: I worked in various schools around the county as a MFL and music teacher. Two of this positions were for several months.

I am an Italian national who has been living in Bristol since September 2012 and having had a long time experience as an Italian teacher for students who have participated in the AFS Intercultural Program, it has not been difficult to insert myself here as a private Italian teacher.
I have a deep understanding of the GCSE program since I am tutoring three English secondary school students who are having difficulties with the Italian language. They lack interest and enthusiasm thus each lesson becomes more difficult but a challenge for me. I place strong emphasis on developing oral comunication, and interpretative skills, while also helping students build confidence, autonomy, and a deeper cultural awareness alongside their language proficiency.

For me, learning is not just about grammar or vocabulary, but about personal growth, confidence, and the ability to communicate meaningfully. I strive to create a positive, welcoming, and stimulating environment where students feel at ease expressing themselves, taking risks, and learning through interaction and shared experiences.

My approach is flexible and responsive: rather than presenting rules in a rigid, top-down way, I guide students to discover patterns and structures through dialogue, practice, and reflection. I encourage collaboration, whenever possible, and active participation, as I believe that learning is most effective when it is social, dynamic, and connected to real-life contexts.

Moreover, I design thematic lessons, such as art and cinema, to make learning Italian more engaging for students with a genuine interest in these areas.
