I hold a BA on Classics and Modern Greek from the University of Athens and a Masters Degree in Modern Greek Studies (Language, History, Culture) from the University of Birmingham. I have a long-standing experience (12 years) in tutoring within a learning framework and teaching is my passion. I am a strong advocate of creating an inclusive environment where the students feels safe to share their thoughts and feel that they belong. All the students are being respected for who they are and i always try to be there to support them through their learning journey.

Personal Description:
My name Is Emma and I am 29 years old.
When I was 8 years old, I moved to Corfu, Greece without any knowledge of the language. I quickly learnt the language whilst attending a Greek school.
I came back to the UK to do my GCSE's in which I paid extra to do a Greek GCSE and I gained an A in this.

Teaching Experience:
I have no teaching experience however I am an easy going, confident and caring person who can go at your own pace and teach you things that you would like to know.

Tutoring Approach:
The first session I would engage with you to find out a bit about yourself and what you would like to achieve in our lessons. I would then create lessons and create you some homework.

I am approachable and am happy to do refreshes of the previous lesson.

Teaching Experience:
Practiced English private tutoring for children in Greece for 6 years and I have been teaching the Greek language in England since 2015.

Tutoring Approach:
Evaluation of the student's knowledge of the language and then adopting a flexible program of teaching, in order to achieve the best
performance by the student, at any time. Patience and very good knowledge of the Greek language and etymology of the Greek words, ensure excellent results!
