I am an experienced tutor, proof reader and trainee teacher. Academically, I received my degree from the University of Birmingham (BSc Environmental Science) in 2013 achieving a 2.1 classification. In 2014-15 I studied MSc Surveying and Land Environmental Management at the University of Exeter (Penryn campus).

I am well organised, efficient and take a friendly approach to tutoring - as well as being hard-working and easy to get along with, I am reliable and prefer my lessons to be enjoyable as well as informative.

Paolo is an Italian songwriter, composer, and stage director based in London.

He has independently composed, produced, and released solo albums, as well as soundtracks for theatre productions and songs for other artists. Beginning his music career in 1992, Paolo is also an accomplished singer and guitarist who has performed across Europe and collaborated with numerous international artists.

His unique writing style has evolved over years of traveling, literary studies, and ongoing poetic exploration, which earned him first prize in poetry at the Pirandello Stable Festival in 2012.

Paolo's theatre and cinema career began in 1998. Alongside intensive drama school training, he spent seven years honing his acting and directing skills at the Teatro Regio di Torino, working under renowned directors Franco Zeffirelli, José Carlos Plaza, Ugo De Ana, Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, and John Cox.

Over the last 15 years, I have been working on a one-to-one scheme where I work with individuals or groups within the school setting in supporting and extending pupils' abilities. I have been successful in helping schools to attain above average scores in KS2 SATS and in building confidence for the future as well as supporting children with anger management needs.
Prior to that I worked in the Junior Department of Norwich High School for 17 years.

Hello! I am a highly experienced, enthusiastic and approachable full-time tutor with a First-Class Geography degree from the University of Birmingham. During my degree, I studied a multitude of theories, concepts and issues from a broad range of Geographical disciplines. Tutorials will be planned in advance in order to tailor lessons to your individual needs and optimise your learning experience. We will work through the exam syllabus and establish weaker topics that require more focus in order to give you a full understanding of the content needed to answer exam questions. I provide diagrams, images and clear step-by-step explanations to aid learning in a visual and engaging manner. I also find that students really benefit when I integrate discussion points and give them opportunities to try teaching something back to me, as it ensures the student has a comprehensive understanding while developing confidence. It is vital that students understand the content needed to answer the question but must also become familiar with the key ideas examiners are looking for. It is often how a student answers the question that enables them to get top marks however, this is typically the most challenging part. Consequently, exam techniques will also feature throughout tutorials as we progress through the course. I prepare questions and provide personalised feedback and guidance to help students excel in exam situations. Furthermore, we will work through case studies to broaden your knowledge and deepen your Geographical understanding by applying theories and models to real-life local and global examples. These can be embedded in your answers to provide the breadth and depth needed to obtain the highest marks.

I also offer help with structure and technique for academic writing and research projects for students undertaking an NEA or Geography-based Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Furthermore, I provide advice for writing a successful Personal Statement and can proofread your written piece to help you receive your first-choice offer.

I have been working with children and teaching for over 20 years. I love teaching children of all ages. I really enjoy seeing children progress and their confidence grow. This is one of the reasons I really like tutoring, due to the progress being so rapid.

I live in Nuthall, Nottinghamshire with my husband and two children. Since having children, I have worked part time in schools and also I have done lots of tutoring.

Although I enjoy teaching a variety of subjects in Primary schools, I enjoy teaching maths the most. I think this is because I found it so hard at school. I really understand the barriers a lot of children have in maths and love to help them to develop a love of it.

Teaching Experience:
I have been a primary school teacher for 17 years. I have taught mainly in key stage 2 but I have experience of key stage one.

I have worked mainly in year 6 preparing children to pass their SATs and also I have tutored children to pass their 11+ exams. Being a year 6 teacher for such a long time has made me extremely confident in helping children to revise and succeed in their assessments.

I have worked closely with children who have additional needs throughout my career and I have attended lots of training in the past to support this. During the school day I tutor a large number of children who are not in education (for various reasons) and have lots of experience in helping these children.

I will adapt learning to the individual need of your child/children. Making it as interactive and fun as possible.

Although I am trained in Primary I am happy to work with secondary children who need additional support too.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to try tailor the sessions to meet the needs of the individual. I love doing this because it is something that all children need but as a classroom teacher of 30 is not always possible.

If your child needs active learning, if they need lots of repetition to make the learning stick then I can do that. I will try to make the learning as fun as possible and I will also provide home tasks (optional) to support your child's learning in between sessions.
