I trained in dance from the age of 3, and when I was about 13/14, started helping with the teaching of the younger children at the school. My approach to tutoring depends enormously on the students' age, wishes and needs. I encourage them to take part in a negotiated syllabus, but also insist on accurate production. For the adults I use mainly methods that are created by native linguists (written only in the target language), which I complement by using reputable text books and authentic material.
For online tutoring, I use Zoom, BitPaper, an interactive whiteboard, a platform dedicated to French learning and other online platforms.

Fully qualified teacher, AQA examiner for French GCSE exams since 2020, over 30 years experience, enhanced DBS, Native speaker. Approachable, kind, professional.

Teaching Experience:
I have qualified as a teacher in 1998 but was teaching before that. I have taught in secondary schools, in sixth form and in adult education. Since 2006, I started teaching privately as well and working as an examiner for AQA for French, AS-levels. I am now working online with people from all backgrounds and who are learning French for a wide range of objectives.

Tutoring Approach:
I tailor the lessons to my students wishes, learning styles, objectives. I am patient and kind, approachable, professional and reliable.
Being a native speaker witth a lot of experience of teaching, and being an ongoing examiner for AQA, I know what to teach and how.
