I have a particular interest in grammar and feel that it is very difficult to have a good grasp of a language without some grammar competency. This is especially important for A Level examinations. However, grammar does not have to be taught in a boring way and I often use games and fun exercises as well as more formal methods. Primary pupils learn mostly through games, puzzles and songs.

Learning a foreign language is a process that implies some mimicking, language awareness, practice on comprehension, expression and also creativity. I ensure that I focus on the requirements of the agreed school syllabus including AQA & Edexcel/Pearson qualifications. I draw on, appropriately adapt and/or build or create appropriate resources depending on the needs of individual students. I use digital tools including Kerboodle and Wordwall. I am currently a volunteer Tutor for the Access Project.

Adults:
Tutoring includes a free initial assessment & SMART goal setting session. I take a person centred approach to coaching and include a focus on individuals' preferred ways of learning to ensure an effective and efficient language learning for adults wishing to move or holiday holiday abroad.

I have a decade (12+ years) of teaching experience as a private tutor.
I graduated in 2019 with a MSc (Master of Science) in Mechanical Engineering from Sorbonne University (3rd best University worldwide for Mathematics by the Shanghai 2022 Rankings).

I am well versed with all major exam boards, including Edexcel, OCR, AQA etc.
I am French therefore I can teach in both English and French.

Teaching Experience:

Each student faces different difficulties therefore improvement begins by identifying those key issues in the first few sessions.

These new found skillsets and knowledge enables the student to succeed in their grades by practicing exam questions, with tailor-made weekly assignments, thus reducing anxiety over the exam period.
