Hi! I'm Nick, a 46 yr old graduate of Oxford University, where I studied French and German, and a postgraduate of the University of Manchester, where I obtained a Masters and Doctorate in English. I currently teach GCSE English in my institution, and also work in a university part-time.

Teaching Experience:

I have run absolute beginners intensive courses and my aim is to allow the student(s) to go home speaking from the first time, however little it might be. Bonjour! I am a French National, originally from Beauvais ,a beautiful medieval town , 80km north of Paris.
A graduate from Amiens University with a BA in English Literature & Civilization, I also studied Fashion Design & Illustration in the international Paris American Academy.

I trained and worked in London for several years, before moving to N.Ireland.
In search of calm and beauty, we now live near peaceful meadows, a mere 5 minutes drive from Banbridge, a 20 minute drive from Newry and 40 minutes from Belfast.

I come from a native French background (with a French mother). Therefore, I have been lucky to spend my summer holidays at my grandparent's house in France granting me full conversational fluency.

The subsequent academic study of French has allowed me to gain that rigorous understanding of the French language - and, in the last few years, a fair amount of literature - which gives me the requisite knowledge to help children reach their potential in this subject.

In my secondary school from the ages of 15 to 18 I acted as a student mentor, a role which has both pastoral and academic capacities.
