My name is Josephine and I'm 32 years old. I'm Danish but have lived in London since 2014 when I did my BA in Fine Art.
I have a Master's Degree in Animation Film from The Royal College of Art.
The past 8 months I've lived in Hebden Bridge between Manchester and Leeds to open our first Studio in FedUP Studio Lab, the production company where I work part time. My role is producer and assistant creative director. I'm a freelancer director in the company as well.

I enjoy tutoring because the process between student and tutor is wonderful. I am a passionate English teacher with experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students both in mainstream school settings, as well as online as part of alternative provision for both groups and 1:1. I have experience working with students with high anxiety and social/emotional/mental health challenges that present a barrier to accessing lessons in school, or benefit from further tuition. I have a lot of experience working with students with SEND, particularly students with ADHD, ASD and/or dyslexia. I currently live in Northern Ireland, but my career has been based in England (mainstream city schools in and around Norwich) and with students across England and Wales via an alternative provision supporting students via a virtual school. 1 year as an English-specific Learning Support Assistant and Instructor within an inner-city school. Interventions were also provided as additional support for Year 11 groups in the lead up to exams.

I've been teaching Film Studies for over twenty five years now - it's a wonderful career which has enabled me to combine my enthusiasm for the subject, with developing effective teaching strategies to help students achieve their potential. I have extensive experience of teaching Film Studies A level at a sixth form college, where I'm also the head of subject.

My subject expertise is evident in my PhD qualification which I gained in 2019. It was a fantastic experience in many ways, not least in that I got to be a student again, a valuable reminder of the pleasures but also the stresses of studying.
