Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. I have had great results tutoring children extensively on a 1-2-1 basis for SATS and the 11+ entrance exam, plus have experience teaching adult literacy and English as a Foreign Language. At university, I was the Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal. I believe that tutoring should be individualized to the needs of individual students and so I do not take a blanket approach with tutoring and I prefer to discuss with my students to arrange a plan of support ideal to them. What I usually do is working 1 topic behind what they do at school and consolidating exam technique on those topics and revising them together or another way to is teach ahead of the syllabus so when they cover it in school it will be like revision for the student. Lessons focus on English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, with clear explanations, strong exam technique, and regular practice using 11+ style questions. My supportive approach builds confidence, accuracy, and readiness for grammar school entrance and beyond.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 20 years' experience as a tutor, having been tutoring since 2006. I began by supporting my own children as well as friends and family, and have since built a strong track record of success, with pass rates consistently exceeding 95%. I offer both one-to-one and small group tuition, supporting students of all abilities to achieve excellent results in entrance examinations.
